Her dad has been in a Twitter spaces (basically virtual voice call) in the past couple hours, and he seemed to allude to Bella (sounds more like him) wanting guaranteed heavy minutes next year. I’m more inclined to believe a team decided to throw her a similar bag to LSU and a guaranteed starting spot.

What I think her dad doesn’t understand is, there are very very very few teams that provide the platform and spotlight that LSU can in the women’s game. Unless she’s going to South Carolina, UConn, or USC. And none of those places would guarantee her a starting spot. Nobody is going to really care if you are starting at Rutgers or TCU.

Shamit said on Twitter the only two names with any smoke has been Ham and Mosley from the Magic. Emphasized nobody in the league thinks a first time head coach would take this job. Guaranteed to be a retread
Could have meant alleviate the extra workload on her by helping her find funding instead of her doing a lot of the work on her own. I’d have to assume Jay is working to fund his own donors too

TLDR;
Football roster 40 mil
Basketball roster 15+ mil
Women’s BB 12-15 mil (mostly Mulkey finding donors herself)
Baseball 11 mil (Jay is frustrated)

EXCLUSIVE: #LSU is expected to be — ‘at the floor, extremely competitive on the NIL front for all of football, both basketball teams, and baseball’ — for the foreseeable future. The following is info that I’ve been able to dig up since Wilson Alexander’s report, last summer on how LSU plans to divy up their revenue sharing and NIL budget after last year’s settlement between the NCAA and The House. For context: Alexander was told by the program that LSU plans to spend 75% on football, 15% on men’s basketball, 5% on women’s basketball, and the remaining 5% on ALL other sports, including mainly baseball, gymnastics, and softball. Now…here’s what I’ve heard almost one-year later, which of course, includes Brian Kelly being bought out, Lane Kiffin being hired, Matt McMahon being bought out, Will Wade being hired, and Jay Johnson winning another National Championship. Side note…it’s widely known that LSU is all-in on Lane Kiffin and the football program, paying Kiffin $13 million per year as well as shelling out over $40 million for this year’s team. For the men’s basketball program, Will Wade will make $4 million in 2026 and will have nearly $15 million to spend on his roster for his first season back in Baton Rouge. Now…Women’s Basketball and Baseball’s future for LSU… LSU Women’s Basketball NIL Future The current administration believes Women’s Basketball’s ratings surge + national coverage has exceeded that of baseball over the past handful of years. For context — LSU’s WBB Valentine’s Day loss against South Carolina hit nearly 2 million viewers while the Tigers’ baseball national title winning game over Coastal Carolina hit just over 2 million viewers — it’s worth noting that last year’s UConn-South Carolina WBB title game nearly reached 9 million viewers. Despite losing over $7 million in 2025 after spending nearly $12 million (Mulkey’s salary + NIL + team expenses) the program is expected to ‘exceed’ the $12 million spent in 2025 on the 2026 team. Numbers haven’t been tossed out but some sourced opinions believe next season’s budget for WBB could balloon to (or exceed) $15 million (Mulkey’s salary + NIL + team expenses). It’s worth noting Mulkey has tirelessly worked to get her own donors, something the school is actively looking to alleviate. LSU Baseball NIL Future While the Tigers are the premier program in college baseball and have been since Jay Johnson came to Baton Rouge, ‘The Powerhouse’ could find themselves still battling with the likes of gymnastics and softball for NIL. Johnson has been and will continue to find his own funding for the program and it’s very unlikely that funds will be taken from the baseball program, but it’s also expected that additional resources won’t be sent to Johnson from LSU’s athletics budget for 2026 and the near future, meaning the near $11 million spent on the baseball team (Johnson’s salary + NIL + team expenses) in 2025, likely won’t increase in 2026 or beyond. FWIW, the baseball team was operating at a near $2 million loss in 2025 despite their dominant national title winning campaign, which could add to the administration’s future decisions. I’m also told when it comes to Johnson’s recent comments flirting with MLB interest, the school would love to have him, but would unlikely go ‘all out’ in order to keep him in Baton Rouge. In addition, most believe Johnson’s comments are him putting public pressure on the administration to continue to add resources to the baseball program — while others believe Johnson has legitimate interest in the big leagues — but also admit Johnson has ‘growing frustration’ with LSU’s administration. LSU’s 2026 NIL Future Overall, last year’s 75% on football, 15% on men’s basketball, 5% on women’s basketball, and 5% on baseball, gymnastics, softball, and others split is likely to be 70% on football, 15% on men’s basketball, 10% on women’s basketball, 5% on baseball, gymnastics, softball, and others for 2026 and the foreseeable future.

Thoughts?
A lot of yall are acting like sheep and are terrified to think outside the box, or are stuck parroting the same boring arse rhetoric of “RB high bad”.

Yes, It’s stupid to draft a running back first/early on in the rebuild when you are starting bare bones. The raiders had a shite oline and a shite QB. The falcons did not have a QB. The giants picked Saquon with a shite roster and no real QB.

It is NOT stupid when you are already fairly invested in the OL with two blue chip young tackles, a top 5 center when healthy, you have your Franchise QB, and you have an All-Pro WR, along with a top 15 TE.

This team is aiming to win the division next year, the great draft class last year accelerated the rebuild process, when you hit on a potential Franchise QB and two future pro bowl tackles in the span of two drafts, you aren’t rebuilding anymore. You are trying to win while those premium $$$ position players are cheap. What better value to add to that than an elite rb on a rookie contract. Gives you a nice 4-5 year window before the books get crazy again.
That’s a prototypical tackle build at 6’6 270, but it says IOL, slow feet?
Let’s be honest, Nuss’s game fits the pro’s way more than it fits college schemes which usually rely heavily on qb run threats from shotgun/pistol. NFL is more single back, play fakes creating the run threat for the defense to stay disciplined.

Did you guys really pay $2 mil for a pass rushing specialist?

You mean one of the 3 most important roles in all of football? Yes, we did.
I’ll probably get downvoted for this but… pretty sure O himself has admitted at the end of the day he is a hired gun mercenary. At the end of the day it’s a business now, and he’s the most cut throat businessman out there when it comes to recruiting. You can like LSU on your personal time but work against them on the clock (IF this is true).
Man I’d be over the moon with Tyson or Love. Yall need to get a grip. Both would be great weapons to help shough.

TLDW; Lamar participated in so many all star games this offseason because he wanted to see if he could dominate elite prospects like he did lower level prospects at U-High. *Spoilers, he could *

Davey asked Lamar what side he wants to play, Lamar responded, “wherever Coach Kiffin wants me, I’ll dominate either side”
Coping will only make it hurt more.
Almost like he hasn’t called him out on it because it’s the truth. Nah, that’s just too logical for this board these days I guess.
I doubt he’d have time to make it to Oregon today at this point.
These top dudes get paid a nice little chunk just to visit. Cam Coleman got 50k just to visit bama, I think Sam thing happened with Sam Leavitt, Miami visit
Can everybody please stop using this thread to talk about whether Supper Club sucks or not, it’s been 3 pages of that instead of actual visit intel, Jesus
