FWIW, I'd still like to play the Aggies once in a while, after Sankey kicks us out. Good tailgating- and it allows me the chance to talk A&M- LSU stuff with my family Ags.

No, you won’t. The minute you leave the SEC for the ACC/B12/independant, you become Clemson. Your recruiting suffers but, most importantly, your revenue nosedives. Look at the revenue takes by members of those conferences compared to the SEC. The trickle down effect would be catastrophic for LSU. You think those billionaires that are funding the program are going to shell out the big bucks to beat Wake Forest or Rice? You think the same level of recruits are going to flock to your campus to play in Ames, Iowa in November? Everybody still laughs at FSU for not joining the SEC in the early 90s when they had a chance. You want to make that move, but in reverse?
*Forget the B1G. They drew as hard of a line about this issue as Stankey has. You think they’re going to accept LSU with this baggage AND middling academics?

Both Bama and LSU owe just this side of everything regarding present-day football to that man.
