is going to church Sunday morning (particularly in Atlanta) and seeing the winning team (Alabama again) wearing whatever gear they have. Adding insult to injury, we only say “God’s peace be with you” when we really want to say “frick you mot#*%#”.

I personally think it's tacky as hell to wear sports gear to church.

I grew up Catholic, so wearing sports gear to church seems kinda trashy either way.

This thread should've been a blowjob OP.

The worst part about losing is seeing other fans in their gear? At church?

Why are you wishing you could motherfrick people in church?

I see better dressed people at McDonalds than I do with half the people going to church on a Sunday.

What’s the point in coming to church in Bama gear other than to troll in person on Sunday morning. So yeah, frick them people.

Church folk trolling is a little more light-hearted and Christian spirited than secular fanboy trolling.

I’m speaking to Episcopalians particularly (we’re supposed to be nice). Catholic rules don’t apply.

This is what I was getting at. It’s good natured light-hearted trolling. But trolling nonetheless.

After a loss...

You are supposed to be too depressed to go to church.

You need to re-evaluate your priorities.

What kind of church do you go to?

Perhaps the issue here is the sensitivity of people rather than the haughtiness of being for or against a team. The impetus of going to church is to worship Jesus and be equipped for every good work for the Lord. What Satan and his demons try to do is distract the people involved into going on mental tangents and stirring up emotions that detract from worship. I have maintained for many years that there will be no cattle brands n Heaven, so we need to treat each other here as if we are fellow members of a flock headed by our Shepherd Jesus Christ. If we display a cattle brand, we basically are displaying a type of haughtiness that is not part of the love described in I Corinthians 13 (love is not haughty). If Christians are to be obedient, we need to be of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high things, but condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits. (Romans 12:16-17). That is why I don't wear my LSU paraphernalia to church.

I don't see sports team logos at church, but we know the fellow church members well enough to make comments like "good game" when the other person's team lost.

It’s tacky all around. But these are Bama and UGA fans. They literally just go to church because they’re scared they’ll go to hell otherwise. They don’t believe in anything they say they believe in. They are dumbasses. All of them.

You’re just mad because your team sucks.
