What if......
Alabama had actually hired Rich Rod

What if......
Spurrier didn’t leave Florida for Washington

What if......
Cam Newton had stayed at Florida

What if......
Nick Saban had never left LSU for the Dolphins

What if......
Lane Kiffin had stayed at Tennessee

What if......
Tommy Tuberville had stayed at Ole Miss

What if......
LSU had taken Nick Saban’s advice and hired Houston Nutt instead of Les Miles

What if......
Tim Tebow had gone to Alabama

What if......
Clint Stoerner doesn’t fumble against Tennessee in 1998

What if......
Georgia didn’t go 40 years and counting without winning a National Championship

Albert Means might be the biggest what if ever. The repercussions from his recruitment shaped the SEC for the next 20 years.

I think it’s a big understatement.

We would have won the west eventually. He was given a program that got possibly the worst sanctions that aren't the death penalty, which included a 2 year TV ban. He won 6-7 games a year with possibly the least amount of talent in the SEC outside of Vandy. If we kept him into the 2000s, we would have been really damn good.

The coaching job he did at Ole Miss is one of the greatest in SEC history. And nobody ever talks about it.

What if Bama had given Bobby Bowden the job after Bryant retired.

He interviewed for the Mississippi State job and they hired Rocky Felker instead.

Then LSU’s worst loss at home in program history would not be a 58-3 L vs Spurrier

And here it is,,,

Alabama wins big time, at least 3 NC, until he retires, however we miss out on Coach Saban, and 6 and counting NCs

bear bryant , head coach at arkansas

"after the 1941 season, Bryant was offered the head coaching job at the University of Arkansas. However, Pearl Harbor was bombed soon thereafter, and Bryant declined the position to join the United States Navy."

I didn't know this. He would've been successful there no doubt. However, he would've still left in the mid 50's for Bama. "When Mama calls you come running", but Arky would have some SWC championships during his tenure at the least.

How about what was supposed to happen. State had more talent than Auburn that year with a better coach. Do we win a championship?

We’ll never know.

what if arkansas hired jimmy johnson instead of ken hatfield

"Before taking the Miami job, Johnson interviewed for the head coaching job at Arkansas when Lou Holtz left following the 1983 season, then later found out that Ken Hatfield had already been hired. Upset that Frank Broyles (who by this time was the Arkansas athletic director) made no mention of this during the interview, Jimmy distanced himself from his alma mater. As payback for the snub, a home-and-home series was scheduled between Miami and Arkansas. In 1987, Miami gave Arkansas its worst home loss ever at the time, 51–7."
