Which is why I find it strange that some of the posters on this board have such animosity to Ohio.
We just hate Yankees, mostly due to their almost universal air of superiority based on nothing more than geographical origin. For every one grounded Yankee we've met 100 that are too stupid to poor pee from a boot yet feel smarter than anyone born below the Mason Dixie line.

Seeing vinyl stickers like these on nearly half the cars on our coast makes my skin crawl.

Just saying IMHO the fanbase isn't as rabid as UGA, Bama, and a few more. USCe fans from what I have witnessed, which is a lot given my years in SC, are more forgiving with regards to football losses on a whole, unless it is Clemson.
You’re right to an extent. Our older fans definitely have that “awww shucks, maybe next year we’ll win it” attitude like poor people have with winning the lottery. Our younger fans are tired of the bullshite, especially when we see our peers and worse have success. The Georgias and Alabamas have fans that demand success and make it a priority and put in the resources to make it happen.
You can see this divide in those who want to keep Beamer and those who want to get rid of him.

Beamer can’t evaluate and hire the coordinators needed to be successful. I would certainly be looking for new head regardless of all the teams looking for coaches. Go for a younger guy that’s proven themselves at smaller schools. More upside than down side. Can’t get much worse than Beamer.

Debatable at this point, actually leaning towards not likable. He's a spoiled brat.

This is the issue with most of our fanbase. Happy to collect moral victories.
I would have rather us just get blown out from the start.

It's a half-hearted coping mechanism.
The sad reality is that SC behaves like a mid-major, while being in a major conference. Leadership, or lack thereof, in the AD chair has gotten us to this point. Hyman was an a-hole, but he ran the AD like an Italian train station.
Tanner never got going, and was in the seat for 10 years. That's insane. There's not a single program that is better off now than it was when Hyman left. Most are substantially worse.
I don't have a lot of faith in Donati. He's working on capital improvements, and I get that. But he's going to have to replace all three major men's coaches in short order (even though I really like Paris as an idea, if not the results). We should have hired Ryan Alpert in AD, who is now at GT. But, we're stupid.

I feel completely justified in wanting to switch my NFL team from the Falcons, if only in how much shite I have to deal with being a South Carolina football fan which I cannot change (born into it, and alum).

As an outsider, I think Beamer is a good coach that for some reason is enamored with bad OC's. It's absolutely bizarre. Everyone of his OC's sucked at their previous OC jobs outside of a random good year.
If he ever decided to actually hire a good OC, he could be good. But it's hard to not question a guy's decision making skills when all 3 of his hires so far were bad before and during and after.

Preach.
If there were a way to turn off my Carolina Fandom, I'd do it. I just can't.

Our mediocre program led by Billy Napier was 2-0 against Beamer

To be fair, I think that was at the visitor's section. He's still a functional retard, though.
God I hate “reporters”!!!
He wasn’t mocking A&M fans, he was pumping his own crowd!
I don’t see anything wrong with that, the team was already in the locker room!
Sure, we can argue if it was the right thing to do or not…..but he wasn’t mocking anybody on that particular video!

Another blown 4th quarter lead by Beamer.
One of those games was a Carolina blowout.
Until it wasn't.

I'm of the opinion that if Beamer hasn't done anything by now he's not going to.
If you have any experience with hiring professionals, not employees who need to be trained but people who should be able to be productive as soon as the ink dries on their contract, you know that their best work usually takes place through about their first year and then it levels off or goes downhill. If a coach hasn't improved by 3 years in and especially if theyve gone backwards they probably ain't getting right. Not winning a natty in 3 years unless the program traditionally wins a natty on average every 3 years (who does?) but if the program is in a position to win the conference every 3 years and in year three is out of the conference picture by the end of October they probably ain't going to make it. Lots of variables of course but the vast majority of coaching changes winds up being a bust....a lateral move at best with a bad failure being more the norm....hiring the next Nick Saban is going to happen somewhere someday....trying to do it is akin to timing the market....seems plausible until you look at the math....

This is objectively untrue, and has been for the last 20 years. SC traditionally keeps the best players in SC *in* SC. We don't beat UGa for Georgia kids head-to-head, but no one really does. We've been successful with kids out of NC (much like UTK), and we've had success in DelMarVa and North Florida. SC doesn't go into Texas, Alabama, or Mississippi very often, and nor should they. There isn't a good chance of success there.
100 percent talent is the issue …. When every school that surrounds you with more talented players you can’t beat them . No one cares what talent you get from the areas around South Carolina that’s regional recruiting … I get it you guys have good access to recruits …. I never said you didn’t I just said your not going to out recruit Tenn, UgA Florida Bama . That’s why it will always be tough to sustain winning . Beamer is a good coach, he has two hands tied behind his back at SC and I am not dogging you guys but compared to other sec programs … you really are . I found it funny last year people were pissed when he lost 2 early games close lol… SC with the passion and coaching will be a top team I have zero doubt …. You kicked our asses last year .

This is a pretty laughable take.
You think talent is the reason SC lost to aTm? Or Bama? Or Oklahoma? Or Mizzou?
No. It was pure coaching and mentality. Brent Key would have this exact same SC team in the playoffs. So would Elko. So would Drinkwitz. So would DeBoer. The only one I wouldn't trade Shane for, heads up, is Venables - who was in Shane's exact same position last year (needing to finally get an OC correct or get fired).
