The "T" stands for "temporary". If you ultimately lose the case(s), any team that had a player playing under a TRO will have to forfeit any wins.

I doubt it. Alabama didn't last year for playing the guy in basketball.
They should have, but I guess because of the TRO they can't because he was technically eligible for the game?
I wouldn't be surprised if it was only temporary like that guy was though.

Technically they aren't eligible. The TRO simply prevents the NCAA/SEC from taking adverse action against the schools until the court makes a substantive ruling regarding whether they are eligible. That's why Alabama had to cut Bediako lose when the court ultimately ruled in his case.

Bediako announced he was coming back to play. A judge filed a temporary restraining order that the SEC could not punish him immediately or retroactively while waiting on his hearing. He played for two weeks until his hearing. He was ruled ineligible. That was it.
The SEC abided by the initial TRO. Alabama and Bediako abided by the ruling.
Had he been ruled eligible they might have escalated things. If Alabama or Bediako had sued them they might have escalated things. But we will never know because everyone acted like grownups.

Preliminary injunction hearing is set for Thursday brother that will last until the permanent injunction hearing which you’ll probably be after this season.
