People have jumped all over Jarrett Stidham, but he clearly isn’t the problem and hasn’t been for Auburn’s offense. He’s improving each and every game, and we have to all remember that he’s just a sophomore. He’s going to continue to improve.
Yea, that's silly and based on the "Auburn new QB narrative". When the offense struggled the punch line immediately went to Stidham.
He looked gunshy and raw against Clemson, but he ain't gonna be the only one who looks like that against those guys. I'll be very interested to watch him this weekend against State.

UGA DL gonna eat them alive. heck MsState's DL gonna eat them alive. This game is about which QB makes the least turnovers. UGA couldn't get a sack on us last week so there's that. Even MsState's worst OL ever gave up 11 sacks to any team even ones that won national championships... so there's that. Should be a defensive battle all game.

It has been protecting him that has been Auburn's problem so far
The new protections are giving the players issues.

I'm not so sure. Auburn's offensive line is nearly as suspect as LSU's and the QB is even less accurate. The SEC West seems packed with parity to spare this year. I don't think there is a clear #2 at this point. It seems like Alabama, then everyone else, and then Ole Miss.

Wait did you just say LSU's Qb is more accurate than Auburn's?? Please tell me where you are getting your stats from

Yes I did, and I've watched both team's games this year. Auburn's QB can't hit the broad side of a barn. Etling's WR's cannot catch, but the vast majority of his throws are on target. Both result in lots of incompletions for sure, but clearly there is a big difference in accuracy at least over the first few games.

AU has that LSU, Ark and TAMU stretch and they are going to lose one of those.

Stidham is 45/54 his last two games. I don't care who they played that is very good accuracy. Let's not begin to say our Qb, who got benched for a true freshman, is better than Stidham. That's ludicrous

Stidham 70.6% completion rate
Etling 58.4% completion rate
What else ya got?

Stidham is getting more comfortable and getting more confident. The offensive line is starting to gel a little. They are doing a much better job at pass blocking than run blocking but its starting to work
People, mostly our own fans, went all tard after the Clemson game but we have certainly improved since. No we didnt beat Mercer 100-0 but we were never in and danger of losing that game and we had 5 turnovers which is very uncharacteristic of us. Hopefully, we have that fixed.
The passing game looks much better. If we can get our running backs healthy and playing up to speed, that will open up more passing opportunities.
Im not going to say we are better than UGA right now but we are in the same discussion. We have demons beating LSU in BR so that is a hurdle that must be jumped.
We will beat State by 2 TD's this weekend

Gus's teams always look suspect weeks 1-3, then explode mid-season and look like NC contenders. That is, before they get smoked by THUGA and bammer.
