Tulane was a charter member... they need to come back also.

I will always be frustrated with Georgia, Florida, and SC for blocking the entrance of those schools (at least that has always been the rumor - not sure if true). I get the TV money thing and all that, but as a fan, I care about having the right schools in the conference overall.

Those are the 3 right schools that should have already been in the SEC. Without question. Every other expansion will just be trying to make up for their absence.

As far as I am concerned, those schools ARE SEC schools in essence that, due to accidents and stupid decisions in history, have gotten stuck in the ACC.

It really is a shame.

Stop caring about things that don't help your school.

I think best thing that could happen for ACC is FSU to leave. It will make the league more entertaining if one program doesn't have that siginificant of an advantage in recruiting. FSU isn't going to leave because there is no way to predict what will happen if they changed conferences and they obvously done well being in the ACC.

That is the most defeatist attitude I have ever heard. Just man up and figure out a way to beat them as much as they beat you.

That's not even a remote possibility.

OP is probably too young and doesnt know SEC history.
I DO remember when Ga Tech and Tulane left...both claimed academics as the reason. Maybe that holds water for the Green Wave...but the Jackets had bad bad blood with Bama. UF used to play Ga Tech every year....we continued after they left until our future scheduling obligations were fulfilled in early 1980s...Tech withdrew around 1965...Tulane around 1968. Tulane was a punching bag and again we played them until 1982 under our agreements. Spurrier had field days against them when he played. I wish you kids would stop with the additions already...we have 14 @%$!& teams now. The SEC is steeped in history...lets keep it that way.

Georgia tech was already in the SEC and chose to leave.

Out of curiosity....why is Georgia tech the right team to have in the SEC. or Clemson or Florida State for that matter? You make a statement, but you don't explain.

I understand that. That is why I said I "get" the TV money thing. But, at the end of the day, I care about the competition and who I get to see my team play on a regular basis more than anything. So, as a fan, it makes sense.

So, you would like for LSU to join the ACC? is that what this is about?

Clemson's recruiting would go through the roof if it was in the SEC. the main knock on Clemson that rival recruiters use is it is in the ACC.

Yeah. It's absolutely killed Florida State. I guess you can rationalize mediocrity any way you want to.

It is and you wouldn't...in fact....you don't.

Clemson 6-6 against FSU the past 12 years.

nothing defeatist about it at all. i'm not on the team so i can't 'man' up in this scenario.

i just think you would hear less running down of the league ACC teams if FSU wasn't in the league.

FSU in a much more populated state.

Clemson is 6-6 against FSU last 12 years.

When is the last time UGA won a SEC title.

Remember how I said you were always on here rambling about how good Clemson is and you said that you don't do that?

Those were good times.

you always mischaracterize everything I say. i didn't bring up clemson on here, and somebody else said clemson is mediocre and acted like Clemson never beats FSU, as though that was the basis for my preference FSU leave the conference.

not that anybody with that picture posted is worthy of a response. not sure why anybody would want to look at that pic more than once much less make it their avatar pic

Beating FSU when they sucked doesn't mean anything.

lol did they suck in 2003 when clem beat them and knocked them out of the title race?

i love the premise though, FSU is a better program but you dont' get credit for beating them because that just means they sucked that year. lol

I mean. That is plausible. The majority of the years FSU sucked were the years Clemson managed to beat them save one or two games every 20 years.

Hey tatertard...check out the thread with the top 25 toughest schedules in the nation.

Guess who's 2nd in the nation? The Gamecocks.

Guess who isn't there at all? Y'alls stupid asses. That equates to a pussy schedule. GFY.

well you are wrong about that. They were favored every year except one, mostly likely.

in 2005, they won the ACC title and were 5-3 in the ACC. Clemson was 4-4 in ACC but beat FSU 35-14 that year.

i kind of think that counts as a solid win.

so 2003, 2005, and 2011 (Taj Boyd's first year), they were a good team, and Clemson won.

that has to be some SEC bias, because Clemson plays at Lousivile, at Miami, at NC State, at SC, and has G Tech, FSU and ND at home, and BC is never a cupcake game. Syracuse on the road isn't a lock either

that isn't some weak schedule, unless some teams don't show up.

you talk about our weak ACC schedule but SC's 'strong' schedule is based on have two ACC programs on it that can score some points. lol
