Just waiting for $abear to give it up so Bammer can enter the coaching hire death spiral. Will be so entertaining.

That post shows the single digit IQ you have. Ever been to Bryant Denny Stadium? Seen the statues? Guess what you have to do to get one. Look at how long winning has been happening there.

In my lifetime there have been three different coaches that have won national titles, two of them multiple times.

Just about every coach that has been there since Ears Whitworth, who preceded Bear Bryant, has had some measure of success. Even Mike Dubose and Mike Shula.

Coaches know you can win at Alabama and you can win big. And you will be well compensated to do so. We will find a good coach.

Just like last year. Sure he made it to the SEC championship game but he had as much chance at winning that game as Missouri had the two times they went.

Beating Alabama, a team with one of the greatest dynasties and the GOAT college coach, and winning the most competitive division in college football your first year is a hell of a coaching job.

This was after inheriting a team with 35 scholarship players who started a WR at QB in the last game

Even a blind squirrel finds an acorn...how many in a row did you lose before winning one?

But you said he’d be in the CFP which means he wins the SEC. How is that not competing

It's their historical average. I'm not sure why this is controversial. It's exactly who they are as a program. And it's who he is as a coach.

Brian Kelly is a good coach. He's just not a cultural fit in the land of swamp donkeys. But, if you think winning at ND is easier than winning at LSU, allow me to introduce to you Les Miles, and Ed Orgeron.

You think either of those clowns could take ND to the playoffs?

Les Miles was very good his first few years at LSU until offenses evolved and Miles didn't. That was his downfall. And Orgeron just hit the football lottery in 2019. So I guess in theory Kelly could hit the football lottery and luck into a NC but the odds of lightning striking twice are super slim.

We’ve been winning a lot more recently, huh?

It’s ok to be a little nervous.

an occasional trip to the CFP under Kelly. He'll never really compete for a NC

Says he’ll be competing for a national championship “occasionally” proceeds to tell us he’ll never compete for a championship. Math ain’t mathing.

Thanks for all the big thoughts. I’ll surely be pacing the floor and wringing my hands over it tonight.

With a 12 team playoff there will probably be three loss teams make it to the playoff in some years. So a team will have a much better chance at making the playoff even if they don't win the conference. Again, getting in the playoffs and losing in the first round isn't seriously competing for a NC. It's just something for a school to point to and say "hey we made the playoffs" to try and convince themselves they had a great year.

How fun and ironic will it be when LSU fires BK after his third 3+ loss season in 2025 and then hire a well rested Jimbo.

I said an occasional trip to the CFP, not competing. You're not seriously competing for a NC until you've made it to the final 6. And Kelly's ceiling is a trip to the CFP with a first round exit. Not sure how hard this is for corndogs to understand.
