If FL has so much money then why havent they been successful in NIL? Why have they accepted their results to date?
I dont think you have all the money you think you do or else you wouldnt be in a continuous state of butt fumbling firing a sitting coach and hiring someone above average

If he does not want the UF job it sounds right. Alabama is a very, very top tier job in CFB.
Even if he takes the Florida job I think he ends up at Bama at some point if given the opportunity. He could go to Penn St this cycle and I would still think he winds up in Tuscaloosa before the end of his career. I think that's his dream job

Alabama makes sense, Penn State does not at all.

So, the main attraction to OM seems to be NIL.
It's all you all talk about.
UF is successful in NIL, they just got in the game later than most.

How so? I'm saying regardless of where he ends up coaching next year - OM, Florida, anywhere else - he would leave for Bama if given the chance. What's rediculous about that?

I don't think he ends up there either. He won't even be on their list. What I'm saying is that no matter where he ends up, he would leave for Bama.

If lk sniffs a Natty or wins one, OM will have to open the bank to keep him. Just today I see Indiana paying out nearly 12 million to a coach who hasn’t won anything. Kirby commands 13.3 m. with two Nattys. Problem trying to keep Kiffin is you must also increase staff salaries. If OM has the Boosters willing to guarantee say 140 million for 10 years then you can get anyone. If they can’t, I’d just say thank you and let him go.

If OM plays in a natl championship finding money to pay him will be no issue

Bama will never hire Lane but the fans would. I’m guessing he has burned some bridges there that are irreparable, leaving for FIU the way he did before the team played Clemson for the Natty.

And both got fired. That’s the downside none of you acknowledge. Lane would be on the hot seat at Florida this season if he went 9-3 with the talent he had last year at Ole Miss.
Exactly because the expectations are higher at Florida. Why do you think that is?

This is an absurd statement. UF literally just hired a great basketball coach who won a natty like 3 years later. Florida’s football problem is that all the coaches have been stubborn average/below average coaches.
Hire a great coach and success will follow.

His son Knox moved to Oxford and plays for Oxford High. His daughter is a junior at Ole Miss. He and his ex-wife have reconciled and she moved to Oxford. His brother has a house right behind Lane's. I think the death of both of his parents really affected Lane. He gave up alcohol and said he wants to be there for his family. There is no question that today's Lane is very different from the old Lane.,

Ya’ll should just trade coaches. It would make sense, given your abysmal football history lol

we’re just starting to get comfortable down here
Heck, that's where they keep the wine. I'd be comfortable too.

Kiffin was ahead of just about every other coach in embracing the transfer & NIL landscape which is today’s college football. He set up his program the way he wants it. The things that may have made programs more attractive 10 years ago aren’t factors anymore, unless it’s just a $$ game & OM will pay to keep him.

have they reconciled as in they're back together romantically or are they just friends again? I thought Lane was dating a girl in her 20s
