Why would you fire someone that won't be there next year anyway. Unless you already have another coach already lined up, a midseason firing can actually make things worse, especially for recruiting. Trust me.

Geez...overreact much? He losing with Petrino's players...give him 3 years to get his recruits in place and then make a informed decision.

That's not the issue. There are people on the current staff at least trying to recruit. If they are fired whoever is left won't put any effort into recruiting until another coach is hired.
