Right now, as it stands, LSU has a better profile and body of work than we do...the difference being the Alabama game (LSU beat Bama, we lost to Bama). However, if Arkansas wins out, beating LSU on national TV on the last weekend of the season, then we would have identical records and own a head-to-head win, which would give us the nod in the polls. The kicker is Bama. If they beat Auburn, then even if Arkansas beats LSU we're still not going to the Sugar because Bama will go (assuming Auburn beats USCe). That's just my opinion on the matter though.

We've beaten Bama, UF, MSU, WVU, UNC and a 7 point loss to AU.

Nice try though

So we've both beaten two ranked teams, dipshit.

If Bama beats Auburn, I see no reason way Bama wouldn't be in the convo. What am I missing?

Again:

SOS
Arkansas #5
LSU #8

We're splitting hairs but it's necessary to point this out if you're going to talk about scheduling.

The Sugar committee would only take Ark if they had a gun to their head. The conventional wisdom, which gets passed around from bowl committee to bowl committee, is that their fans "come to town with a $10 bill and the ten commandments and don't break either one".

You're right, assuming Ark beats LSU. If Ark and Bama win out then you'd be in the conversation. If LSU wins out then you don't have a shot, even if you beat Auburn.

With the way the media was blowing Auburn on Saturday, I think there in the BCS regardless. You could swap Alabama and Auburn in that one if it would make you happy but that's it. I am fairly certain the Cotton Bowl would take Arkansas over LSU if we both had the same record and we had just beaten LSU. The Cotton to Arkansas is what the Sugar is to LSU.

JMO

Not much difference between the SOS of LSU and Arky in most rankings but I think generally LSU's is considered better

Sagarin has LSU 23, Arky 49 I think

Congrove has LSU 11, Arky 32

GBE has LSU 21, Arky 37

Does record of future opponents factor into this total ranking for SOS?

I saw it listed as a column and was wondering if the current record of LSU's future opponents is hurting LSU's total ranking.

If that is the case then LSU's current record would be helping Arkie's total ranking on SOS.

Arkansas is on the bottum tier of SEC teams when it comes to traveling. Bama, LSU, Auburn, UGA, SC, Tenn, UK, UF all travel better

LSU fans do buy hotel rooms. The game is late and hardly anyone is just going to drive back home after the game, unless they live in NOLA. In fact, whenever we play in NOLA, we bring extra fans that come just to party and never make it into the dome.

LSU is a bigger national draw than Ark.

i have no idea how Arky fans could even argue this.
