I’m happier with Mizzou in the league than either Texas program or OU. People who say Missouri doesn’t fit the culture must think the whole state is St. Louis and Kansas City. If you have ever spent any time in rural Missouri, it is hard to tell it from Mississippi or Louisiana.

I grew up in Mississippi and have spent a lot time throughout the Southeast for work.
Conversely, I now live in Missouri and have spent time all throughout the state for work, Missouri is a much different culture in my opinion.

The only thing those states share is rednecks and some hunting culture. They sound different, they eat different, and they're a little more liberal. Pro sports matter more there. Although they must've not supported the rams well enough.
Look at Tennessee. UT fans are UT first, then Titans or Grizz. They bleed orange. Missouri is not that way. The states are roughly the same population - Neyland seats 100k+, Memorial Stadium (Mizzou) is around 60k.
With that being said, I am cool with having Missouri
The people who can actually go eat a bag of d*cks are the ones who want to boot charter members like MSU

2-1 vs Auburn
Wait we have at least 2 wins over them since they joined. Wrecked their shite in the 2013 SEC title game then another when their RB fricked up and fumbled through the end zone against Harsin.

Mizzou did win the New year's game against OSU.
No, sorry. I mean championships. That's a good accomplishment for your team, but not the level the OP is claiming.
However, New Years bowl doesn't really mean shite anymore. There was a time many decades ago when that was about the biggest deal in the world. Then came the greed and everything else, and it's been inflated with the number of games, less meaning in them, etc.
It's like Alabama has the record for most bowl appearances. That use to be a huge deal because there was only a handful of bowl games and you had to have a great season to get invited. And again, then came the greed and everything else, now we have "bowl eligible" and basically the top60 or so in football make it. Unlikely Alabama ever loses that record, but it doesn't mean what it use to.
And OSU had a bunch of opt outs, because again - those games have lost so much meaning.

What do the trophies look like

But they got steam rolled in both games.
That's the past. You know when auburn and bama were cheating and paying recruits. Don't be a moron, moron.
The playing field is much more level these days with NIL.
Example: I think there's three SEC games this weekend b/t ranked teams.
Where's college game day? In fuggin Nashville for the Mizzou vs Vandy game!
But you clowns keep clinging to the past. Before too long you'll be another Nebraska and be nothing more than a has been. Has beens that only became relevant b/c they CHEATED in college football.
That Cam Newton championship is the perfect example.
It's a new world. One where Mizzou, Vandy, and Indiana are better than auburn, FL, LSU, etc. hahahahahaha
Maybe some of you losers should start watching professional sports?

He mentioned NIL so I went with when that really started in 2021.
I think they are pretty much .500 since joining the SEC with by far the bulk of their wins coming from Vandy, Arkansas and South Carolina.

All 4 Big-12 teams are in the top 50% of SEC standings.

Exactly....according to the old timers all 4, especially Mizzou, should be bottom feeders in this conference. In isn't happening and many are threatened by that. NIL will make it even more equal moving forward. Thus the thread.."The New SEC".....soooorry the old days are gone.

It is a new world…actually everyone’s record pre covid, pre NIL is irrelevant history. It’s a nice historical footnote. Conference realignments, coaches, players all have resulted in a semi pro league that has zero loyalty to any school, loyal only unto the NCAA business . Not a single recruit gives a shite what you won 10/29/50 years ago. It’s all about the money. Talk of “blue bloods” is hilarious and irrelevant. Darryl Royal, Nick Saban and others all quit when they couldn’t use the massive university resources to get an unfair advantage. Now a small but rich school like Vandy can compete. Talk of past championships, “blue bloods” is about as relevant as talking about the relevance about who was the winner Spanish/American war.

You obviously are not used to being successful and understanding how this works. Missouri has actually made it to the SEC Championship and A&M. Well you know. If you were relevant, you would never put yourself on the same level as ATM.
