What was the most valuable thing a coach ever told you?

Mine was “You never rise to the occasion. You always fall to your highest level of preparation”.

I still use that all the time to this day

“You will play like you practice.”

Also, how to wear a uniform (“called a uniform for a reason”) in baseball.

One of the reasons why I hate baseball now.

Play the game as if it's your last. You never know when it's your last chance.

You will live if you don’t die.

Walk the straight and narrow. Good things will happen.

Leave no regrets.
