The 05 heartbreaker to UT was typical loss in those Shula days. 5 over times, 4th & forever, 3 man rush giving Clausen all day to scramble around to find a receiver & win the game. Feels damn good 11 in a row w/victory cigar. Not taken for granted!

That was 2003. Alabama played, and lost, in two multiple overtime games that season.

They beat Tennessee 6-3 on a late FG by Jamie Christensen in 2005.

03 it was. Lots of pain & misery back in those days. You become numb to the losses so we know how other fan bases feel. Dynasty run is really SWEET!!!

Must be weird to not know anything about your football programs history.

I dunno, I think being born in the mid/late 80s and having to listen to your parents and everyone of the generation older than you be pissed and talk about how it used to be yet not have any recollection of it is much worse.

It was funny to hear older Bama fans at that time poo poo the 90s cause there was only 1NC. Then when the early aughts came everyone pined for the 90s. Most fan bases would have loved to be locks for the conference title game and win at least one national title.

I used to hate the feeling of knowing a loss to UT was inevitable, and wishing anyone other than Florida could win the east ??

I swear I hate Alabama football but you have to respect what they are doing. It really is amazing what Saban has accomplished there. I really miss those battles we used to have with them.

That run you guys went through is what we have become for far too long. Tennessee fans have to hope that Pruitt can get us back to some competitive football with the big boys again. I honestly think he is exactly what we need right now...... but we'll see.

Just be ready when it happens cause it's gonna be epic for Tennessee fans. We will act like wild arse idiots when we beat that sorry arse sucking Alabama football team again......it'll happen again because it has too

OP

This is seriously the mindset of all our new OOS students sadly. I remember vividly the Saturday’s from 2000-2006 and my dad going and on and on about how Alabama was during his undergrad in the late 70s and the futility for me of feeling like we would never be that way again. The state of affairs in 04 felt like we would seriously never beat Auburn or UT again. Spencer Pennington or Brandon Avalos at QB just wondering if Bama would ever get back to what it was once. I grew up on that 92 VHS of the Miami beatdown. Thank God Saban came in time for my undergrad and now I feel like I lived through what my dad did in the Bryant years.

OP is a colossal fail, usually is too.

Tennessee got us 7 straight. That was a miserable time. Fkn miserable. Auburn beat us when we had sanctions so we kind of figured they would win but Tennessee was frickin us when we had some pretty good teams.

Peyton, Jay Graham, witten, Joey Kent. God I hated those frickers. The party that went on in in Gatlinburg in 02 when we finally ended 7 years was legendary. Tuscaloosa was never as alive as the 36-0 ending of that auburn streak but 02 and 05 were close.
They had great, great athletes and They would ream us good. I remember losing to them 21-7 in our SEC championship year of 99 and thinking we had played them tough. All those years we played florida in the SEC title game, I had rather played florida a hundred times than those 90s Tennessee teams.
Watching their fans light the cigars in our stadium year after year was torture. It's been nice to see that smoke billowing in neyland from our corner the last 11 years.
How florida beat those guys like they did in the 90s is one of life's greatest mysteries.

Are you under 20 years old? Tennessee 1995-2001 we lost 7 in a row 1995-2004 we lost 9 of 10 1995-2006 we lost 10 of 12 It was miserable Honorable Mention Auburn 2002-2007 we lost 6 in a row 2000-2007 we lost 7 of 8 LSU 2003-2007 we lost 5 in a row 2000-2007 we lost 7 of 8

You could have answered the question without all the extra’s that had nothing to do with the OP and said “Yes, UTk from 1995-2006.”
