Got in an argument with a Bama buddy of mine last year around this time about whether Coker would be any good. He pointed to Jimbo Fishers high praise of him… Turns out that is the ONLY proof he is any good. Here is the evidence he is no good and actually probably sucks: (in parentheses are bama fans excuses)
1. His terrible high school recruiting rank from every service. Look it up… Its terrible(But but he went to a high school that didn’t pass much)
2. Only being offered by one good program in FSU (He was overlooked by colleges)
3. His God Awful high school stats ( He didn’t have the players around him to succeed)
4. Its now his 5th year in college and he has yet to start a game (He has had superstar QBs in front of him every single year)
5. Not being able to be the clear starter in 2015 (We have 5 NFL caliber QB’s)

his hype was ONLY because Jimbo made a few comments about him being in a battle with Winston.
He was awful in every spring game at FSU. Half of his passes got tipped or were way off.
I have insane doubt Saban didn't see this when he got him, but just wouldn't claim it because it could hurt transfer possibility later. Coker is at best average. At best.
