Why the SEC should fear LSU

Posted by Rhageax Tigerayan on 9/22/15 at 3:28 pm
LSU is NFLU... The numbers speak for themselves. Why then has the winnigest and most successful SEC program of this century not won a national title lately?

2010: Cam Newton
2011: Got screwed by the media by having to play Bama a second time. Look at LSU's and Bama's resumes from that year. LSU won the SEC, beat the Pac-12 champs, Big East Champs, Bama on their homefield and twice the top 25 teams that Bama beat. This was the media wanting a chaos and thus a playoff.
2012: Chavis cost LSU the Bama game and a spot in the SEC title
2013: Team decimated by NFL draft and early entries. Double the players left lsu than any other program
2014: Team decimated by NFL draft and early entries. Double the players left lsu than any other program

2015: As you can clearly see we are back.
LSU's brute-simple, rugby-grade scrum is the thing Arkansas wanted to be, but failed at achieving.

It's a thing defenses don't see a lot of anymore, even in the SEC West, where most teams have spread the field in hopes of shooting holes in Nick Saban's defenses. It's the world's worst obstacle course just to get to Fournette, and when you get there -- if you get there -- you still have to tackle that. It might seem strange to think of Fournette not as a start to a play, but as a finish, but the run game in LSU's brand of football does that by design.

Dude you were Jennings biggest fan. You were constantly hating on Harris and saying how much better Jennings was.... lol

Doesn't appear to be bad news to me....

Chad Kelly

Looking back on his recruitment I remember coach Cam had him come in and throw for us. He ultimately decided not to offer him, however the coaches knew he would be going to Ole Miss if not LSU. I firmly believe he would have picked LSU over Ole Miss. Why not sign him specifically so that Ole Miss doesn't get him? Ole Miss would not be near as good with Buchanan as their starting QB. It could end up hurting us

Open date replacement

Toledo had a game cancelled their first week. We share the same open date... Would be a for sure win that would get us to 8 wins going into bama. Every win helps. What say you

LSU: A program on the decline?

Posted by Rhageax Tigerayan on 9/21/15 at 2:56 pm
Where are all the fans that were saying LSU was gonna finish last in the west? LSU is guaranteed to go 7-0 now and 2/4 of its last games are at home... LSU at worst finishes 9-2

Tim Brando

What is wrong with this guy? My little brother went to school with his daughter and he has always been a diehard LSU fan. Now he is constantly dogging us…. First he said he would be “shocked if LSU beat State. Now he is one of 2 experts out of around a thousand picking auburn to win….

Carl Lawson update?

Any update? He won't be near 100% that's for sure

Experts picking Auburn?

Posted by Rhageax Tigerayan on 9/16/15 at 5:08 pm
I have yet to see one expert pick auburn. What experts was aggie referring to earlier?
Not looking good four Auburn

CFN:
What’s Going To Happen?

Auburn is better than it looked over the first two games, but LSU is going to put on a show. The offense will hum early, but the defense will have to hold on late as the AU Tiger ground game starts to find a bit of a groove. The LSU pressure in the backfield on Johnson will be the difference.

Prediction: LSU 26, Auburn 20, Line: LSU -7.5, o/u: 49.5

Rant Sports:

The Tigers came into the season with title aspirations but have fallen off many people’s radar after struggling more than they should in the first two weeks. Is Death Valley the spot where Auburn gets back on track or where their hopes of a spot in the College Football Playoff get put to rest?

Prediction: LSU 31, Auburn 17

PowerRank:

3. Auburn at LSU.
LSU (8) will beat Auburn (25) by 7.2 at home. Auburn has a 30% chance of beating LSU.

Oddshark:

Smart pick

Auburn destroyed LSU last year 41-7, so the Bayou Bengals might have revenge on their minds Saturday. The previous time LSU lost to Auburn was back in 2010; LSU won the next meeting 45-10. The smart money here resides with the home team, minus the points.

Do you think LSU can do this against the Aub secondary?

The Auburn fan's I have talked to believe so. They will have freshmen and injured players in their secondary

Auburn Injury update

Posted by Rhageax Tigerayan on 9/15/15 at 11:58 am
Malzahn: "Everyone is day to day. Not ready to say if Carl Lawson will travel to LSU or not"

Housley is done for the year so they will have to use TF corners.

Jovon Robinson is not looking good to play much.

Dunno about others
Yeah there is not one team after auburn and before bama that can beat LSU. Florida has walk on's on their offensive line, no QB and it's at home. South Carolina may lose 8 games. Syracuse is Syracuse and the others are cupcakes

Louisiana state -7.5 AUBURN
Georgia -16.5 SOUTH CAROLINA
ARKANSAS -12 Texas Tech
Florida -3.5 KENTUCKY
ALABAMA -6.5 Ole Miss
