This isn't a knock on O. The competition has been that strong.
Also, the jury is still out on Jimbo. We will see whether he can take A&M to new heights.

Was he? Danny Etling had basically the same numbers in 2017 except for fewer yards and 3 less picks.

Day 77 of The Great Gump Melt Of 2019/2020 had Gumps maniacally starting LSU threads . Mental health professionals had predicted they would have reached acceptance by now, but alas the grieving process was going slower than expected.

Danny Etling loses to Auburn in 2018, and definitely doesn’t blow out UGA.

Not his ceiling, but what he’s going to give you 80-90% of seasons. I think O can win the SEC every 4 years or so if he does a good job replacing Brady.

E called the plays.
Brady was brought in to teach new passing concepts after O and E decided to change the offense at the end of 2018.
LSU wasn't doing anything "innovative" this season, they just tailored the offense to fit their athletes.

Alabama most seasons, until Saban leaves/dies, Gus might have another SEC west run in him at some point if he can sort out his offensive line recruiting issues. Obviously UGA out of the east will continue to be a tough out in the championship game based on the talent they bring in (though I can’t argue that O hasn’t beat that dawg arse two years in a row). Mullen will he competent enough at UF to not be a gimme
