I only saw it on TV but when Steorner stumbled and fumbled that was one of the loudest I’ve ever heard a CFB stadium

Bryant-Denny Stadium can be one of the loudest but the fans have gotten fattened up by success and, frankly, the student section just don’t add that extra drunken oomph anymore because half or more of them are out of staters here for the party.

The loudest moments I’ve experienced all happened prior to the first national title under Saban.

2005 Florida was probably the most sustained level of noise I’ve ever heard at BDS. 2005 Tennessee when Roman Harper forced that fumble touchback was louder than any moment of the Florida game. The block at the end of the game against Tennessee in 2009 was probably the loudest moment ever. I wasn’t even in the stadium for the 08 Iron Bowl rammer jammer but it was so loud it sounded like you were in the stadium from The Red Shed’s porch.

I have been in tiger stadium when it is so loud you can feel the concrete vibrating under your feet. There have been a few moments it has felt dangerous, like finding yourself caught up in unglued crowd/mob behavior.

I think 2021 is going to see some absolutely raucous atmospheres. Speaking for myself after a year of covid bullshite, I'm coming to frick things up for opposing teams.

Can someone scientifically explain the correlation between loud and winning?

Lyle field should be #1 with how stupid and willing your fanbase is. Instead you get this low hummm sound throughout the game and rarely do fans erupt into a loud frenzy because they are instead looking for instructions on the next cheer

After I retire, I'm going to all of the major stadiums with a decibel meter and a non football fan as an independent verifyer and document the decibels and then rank them. I will settle this debate once and for all.

Arkansas was electric during those Petrino years. 2010 Against Bama was as loud as many prominent people have ever heard. Not had a lot of reasons since then to be that loud. Hopefully that changes soon

Boomer Alabama fans just want to sit and watch. frick them.

Or it could be that there are very rarely any games that are ever in doubt, so the excitement isn’t there.

There are several players throughout the SEC that have played in Williams-Brice that have said it was the loudest stadium they have played in. I, of course have been to many games there but UGA, Tennessee, Arkansas, and Auburn were very loud also. The entire SEC has some loud stadiums but these 4 stood out. I have not been to Missouri or Texas A&M for a game as of yet.

BDS is just a combo of Flashing lights and Pom poms, it’s pretty much a low energy LSD trip.
I have stayed in “The Zone” before though and it was awesome as frick.

Both times we got smoked but it was still fun

VaTech solid for pound for pound. Their fans actually understand football too unlike half the ACC teams.
