It seems that DawgNation is getting a daily reminder of just how effective Sam Pittman was on the recruiting trail. The latest visit plan for 5-star Georgia OT commitment Broderick Jones is indicative of that.

Jones is a vital finishing piece for Georgia’s 2020 class. He had been committed since April of 2018 (at least) but did not sign during the early period. Pittman’s path to Arkansas had a lot to do with that.

Pittman’s impact was felt yesterday with the Cade Mays transfer portal news. It comes back up again today with word that Jones has shuffled up his official visit plan for when the dead period lifts on Jan. 17.

quote:

DawgNation has learned from independent sources that Arkansas will now get the first of his three planned official visits. His visits on subsequent weekends to Georgia and Auburn, in that order, are still planned at this time.

The news of the visit was first reported by Richard Davenport of the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette and wholehogsports.com earlier on Thursday.

Jones ranks as the nation’s No. 2 OT for the 2020 cycle on the 247Sports Composite rankings. He was rusty and at least 15 pounds underweight, but still flashed an elite showing at the Under Armour All-American Game and practice week leading up to Jan. 2.

The 6-foot-6, 285-pound currently ranks as the nation’s No. 19 overall prospect for 2020 on that same scale.

I’ve never seen a fan base try this hard to convince themselves they didn’t strike out

Every other SEC school looking for a coach, made Arky look stupid.

Zero. Cant remember the last 5 star linemen that has ever visited Arkansas tbh. Pretty sure we haven't ever signed one. The last 5 star we signed was I believe Darius Winston with Petrino

Hope he goes to Ark if he doesn’t go to UGA.

Yeah not buying it, Drinkwitz is not a better recruiter or coach than Pittman.

Everyone else absolutely a valid point, but cmon man you can’t honestly tell me you would take that little weird bitch over Pittman.

Lol, no he won't. Ar-Kansas will never be more than an afterthought in this league.

Meh Arkansas has beat you guys plenty of times, even in recent memory. Series is decently close as well 34-20 all time in LSU’s favor.

Enjoy your season and hopefully national championship win. Just know that Arkansas is no Missouri or Mississippi schools. Those schools are the ones that need to earn their place.

Dunno if they were using stars then but Shawn Andrews and Freddie Childress were the best at their positions in their time. Mark Henry was the number 1 ranked center in his classs.

They've been doing this for years. You'd think after the Bert shitshow, they'd learn their place, but here they are...still the shitstain that is Arkansas. Still running their dicklicker, still embarrassing the SEC.

Right. And Petrino did more with less and recruited like shite. Every time they hype to their recruiting it ends in disaster.
