October 14th, 1995 in Birmingham when #6 VOLS ran #11 Alabama out of Legion Field 41-14 and ended a 9 year losing streak to Bama. Bama would lose to Tennessee 7 years in a row and 11 out of next 12

This is going to be a really fun watch. Great for Tennessee and their fans.

College Gameday is going to be must-see TV this Saturday morning.
But it'll only be memorable if VOLS win the game.

I was in college dating the girl that would be my wife later in life. She was pouting that that Saturday was 100% a guy football day.
Good times.
Good times.

There are more words in this sentence than necessary.
Also, pics?

Disagree. The sixteenth in a row is always the sweetest one imo.

Wait, y'all had another 10 year losing streak to them?

And then Nick Saban got off the plane in Tuscaloosa. And the next thing you know, 15 years in a row. My, how time flies.

Just not yet.

So Tennessee loses to Alabama again? Because that’s been the history for the most part.

Third Saturday has been especially streaky.
Bama is currently on a 15-game winning streak (2007 - present).
Tennessee won 7 straight from 1995 - 2001.
Bama won 7 straight from 1986 - 1992.
Tennessee won 4 straight from 1982 - 1985.
Bama won 11 straight from 1971 - 1981.
Tennessee won 4 straight from 1967 - 1970.
Bama won 4 straight from 1961 - 1964.
Tennessee won 4 straight from 1955 - 1958.
You get the point.
To put it into perspective, the last time the TSIO was split over four games was 2004 - 2007. Prior to that, you gotta go all the way back to 1945 - 1948.

Well it was actually it was 8 losses and a tie thrown in there.
This series has always been about streaks dating back to Neyland and then Bryant. The most sickening part is it was 43-38 Alabama in 2006 and then Saban showed up and now it’s 58-38 lmao

Well if you think that's funny, you should be on the Miami football forum today. The melt is hilarious.

Anytime gameday wanted to do a VOLS game back when we were actually good, it was almost always the Florida game. That game had wayyy more heat and national appeal in the late 90’s/early 00’s once Bama dropped off
