Years ago I was on a Surfing sight. Based in California and was cut throat. We had one guy who ran a troll for over six months. Took a ladys' name and pic off a dating sight. She was a hotty and had 20-30 regulars completely fooled.
I've seen that happen more than once

The reason I asked is that referring to AU fans as "Boogs" isn't all that common, and that was one of ol' Rock's trademarks.

Man, this is master-class denial. That was an awful loss to a team that had 1/10th the talent of LSU. You're trying waaaaay too hard.

It’s all good.

How many got drafted off that team ?

That played at least one snap in that game? About eight, I believe.

So, about ten or twelve less than saw action for LSU against Troy.

Interesting note, no player who recorded an offensive stat for Alabama in that game ever recorded a single offensive stat in the NFL.

That was not a very good team, but Alabama still shouldn't have lost to Louisiana Monroe.

Meh, Bama was 6-6 when they lost to Monroe. Today, Yes, it's unfathomable but back then it wasn't a huge surprise. We had lost to northern Illinois before that and in 2000 lost to central Florida (our worst loss ever in my opinion) in their 3rd year of 1a ball. Florida and ole miss lost to D1AA teams. Ms state lost to a D2 team. Those are worse. Monroe is a D1 Sun belt team.

No, those teams didn't have as much tradition as Bama but Bama was also not Bama in 07. We still only had like 70 players and 40 of those sucked. We won 6 games when we should have won 3. Even at 6-6, u could see what was coming. Saban was working magic even with that team.

Don't think we had a player drafted off that team in the spring. Not just the first round....Not one drafted period. Like they say, They don't put u on probation to help u. Even though our schollies restriction had been lifted we still were at 1AA strength. People over react to that Monroe game. It wasn't as big an upset as people make it. If we lost to them today, Yes, the university should burn. Then, those teams were a lot closer in Talent than people think.

Is a ten finger Jalen better than a nine finger Tua?

The fact that Saban beat Nutt & Fulmer with 07 team was beginning of end for those 2 & still been since 06 either Arky or UT beaten BAMA. Amazing!

Actually, they were 6-4 coming into the game, the only losses coming to eventual #1 LSU, #3 UGa, Mississippi State (who finished 8-5) and Florida State (who went 7-6). Meanwhile, LAMO came into the contest 4-6, with earlier losses to MTSU (who ended the season 5-7) and North Texas (a program in the middle of a run of futility from 2006-2010 where they went 11-50).

Bama was favored by 24 points, which made it the 4th biggest upset of 2007, behind only three of the most significant upsets in CFB history. It was also only LAMO's 3rd victory over a P5 team in their entire history (they were 2-43 coming in, lone wins coming over MSU and Kentucky a decade or so earlier). So, yeah, it was a HUGE surprise.

You're forgetting that they benched a ton of guys before then over the textbook crap. I think they were 6-1 before that came out.

reminds me of the 2 Auburn students out in the pigpen screwing pigs. 1st one said, "man, something's wrong..I just can't get off", and the other one said,"hell!..no wonder...you picked the ugliest sow in the pen!"

He's also forgetting that the 2007 team had exactly zero players taken in the 2008 NFL draft. it was devoid of talent among the upperclassmen.

Look at every team from 2008 and beyond and you see talent. 2007 was not a talented bunch, really.

Just insert the word "Auburn" into any joke, and you'll bring'em up like dynamite does to catfish.
