quote:It was Saban's 1st year at Alabama...think it WAS La.-Monroe....didn't he compare it to Pearl Harbor or something?
Auburn was ranked 25 according to ESPN. Was ULM just before that?
Same age anyway.

If he was held back, then did he skip a grade or graduate as a junior? because the years wouldnt add up otherwise

Did you ever feel bad for Kodi Burns/Clint Mosley/Kiehl Frazier/Jeremy Johnson?
Right Jalen?

So many people are so damn angry that Saban has the audacity to find a way to win.
There was a hog fan here saying that Saban pulling Jalen was the equivalent of Joe Paterno covering up child rape, and that his legacy would be tarnished for treating Jalen that way.

Tua was a senior in the fall of 16. He graduated in December. He enrolled at Bama January of 17. this fall he will be a sophomore.

I was making fun of the idea that a QB who has performed as well as Hurts deserved no more sympathy for his current situation than guys who, well, weren't very successful.

Oh look, it’s know it all NYC jumping in to tell someone they’re wrong about an insignificant detail.

Even more of a reason to pity them.

Does this mean he was in...
2nd grade?

When he is kicked to the curb by Saban after Tua is crowned Qb he will receive a gold watch and a certificate of appreciation from the REC plus a gift card for $500.00 .

To get back to the OP, I'm trying to think of the longest stretch that Bryant went without losing to an unranked team.
Looking at historical scores, best guess is 10/11/69 (loss to Vandy, who finished 4-6) to 9/8/75 (loss to Mizzou, who jumped from unranked in the preseason poll to #5 as a result of the upset - then back to unranked and 6-5 at the end of the year).
To put it in further perspective, from 1971-1981, the best 11-year run of the Paul Bryant era (a total of 121 games), the Tide lost to a grand total of 3 teams that finished out of the AP Top 20.
It's been 131 games since a Saban-coached Bama team lost to an unranked opponent.

The boog doesn't know about early enrollment. Gus Bus hasn't read that chapter of Saban's best seller "How to beat the System and win the Irish Lottery".
Pity the fool.
Pity the fool.
