On Iowa's campus, there is a street named after Hayden Fry.

There is a Hayden Fry statue.

There was an event called "Fry Fest."

Check Hayden Fry's record.

Fry Coaching Record

How many times did the Hawkeyes finish ranked higher than 10th in AP Poll? (Answer is ZERO times).

Iowa named a street after a coach who would have been run off at any number of SEC programs.

Iowa has a different view of football compared to a bunch of SEC schools.

If they got rid of Ferentz it would be like when the Bengals got rid of Marvin Lewis. He’s the only glue holding the shite show together. They would be abysmal without him. There’s no talent to recruit around him yet he still competes for big 10 championships regularly. The fan base knows what they are and what they have.

You clearly have no idea of what Iowa was before Hayden Fry, the complete transformation Fry did to that program, and to the entire Athletic Department as a whole.

Hayden Fry had a massive impact on all of modern college football, not just Iowa. He deserves all the celebration he gets, and frankly doesn't get enough recognition outside of Iowa

Educate yourself.

They had two coaches in the last 40 years. The reason they are patient is when Hayden Fry took over, they hadn't had a winning season in almost 20 years.

Alabama and they playoffs have made these stupid takes unbearable...

Iowa football expectations - Have a stable program, win 8-10 games consistently, beat your rivals (ISU, Minnesota, etc), compete for the BIG 10 championship every couple years, and make new years day bow games.

Apparently they're satisfied because they've had 2 head coaches in about 50 years. Rather be them than someone like A&M who also doesn't win shite and thinks theyre a premier program.

Fry would win big at any school. The reason he took the Iowa job is because the strong fan support despite being a perennial loser.

They are afraid of being in a revolving door of firing coaches. Stability is more important.

They could but they aren't going to risk it by firing coaches.

I mean, it's Iowa. Think about this, they've got players right now who'd never seen the ocean before until this week for their bowl game.

Big 10 West champs. Not shabby. Blue collar team like UK. It was like looking in a mirror except we had Wandale freaking Robinson.

As long as the wrestling team is winning, they’re happy.

BowlJackson, you are so eager to fight me, the point sailed right past you.

I am NOT saying Hayden Fry didn't deserve his accolades.

I AM saying lots of SEC programs would never give the next Hayden Fry time to develop and would NEVER appreciate him once he did.

At Arkansas, Ken Hatfield's accomplishments were every bit as good as Fry's and Hatfield's winning percentage was better!

Arkansas fans and AD Frank Broyles ran off Hatfield after back-to-back 10-win seasons and conference titles.

There is no Hatfield Street, and no Hatfield statue at Arkansas.

LSU ran off Les Miles who won at least 8 games for 11 years in a row and won a National Championship.

SEC peograms will NEVER allow the next Hayden Fry to develop.

Unless his name is Nick Saban.

That is how screwed up the SEC has become.

A coach who achieved Gus Malzahn results at Iowa would have Iowa City renamed in his honor.

In SEC, Malzahn gets run off to UCF.

I think he’s a good coach for them. I think Stoops is the same at Kentucky. Neither are gonna win championships but win enough to please fans. They can live a good life and make good money and wind up being legends at there schools.

He’s a consistent winner. Iowa doesn’t have a NC ceiling

He did win the Big 10 a couple times but it was a long time ago
