The guy has been at Iowa forever and hasn’t won anything of significance. Decent coach, but you’ve gotta win championships at some point. Right?

How is he never on the hot seat? Pics of bosses with farm animals?

It’s Iowa. Make a bowl game and they’re happy.

They seem to not care about championships.

I see your point. No one wants to go to Iowa.

He's the best they can do. Chances are when he retires they will be really bad.

Do you actually believe all jobs are equal? If you do, you are beyond dumb. He does a damn good job teaching & coaching a team in Iowa. His teams are always fundamentally sound and well coached. Iowa will NEVER be able to attract difference making talent.

They'll hire Mark Stoops. He's been biding his time in Lexington, waiting for his alma mater.

But seriously though, they'll end up with a good coach after Ferentz and you're ignorant of their situation to think otherwise

He is a pussy. When you need half a yard against Kentucky to close a game out and you punt the ball from the 45 you get what you deserve and you stay where you deserve.

He's happy there for some reason. He will never have skills players to do much more than he's done and no one is knocking down Iowa's door that's going to do any better.

He wins enough for Iowa

They also give 0 shits about how boring he plays dudes gameplan is to punt the ball and hope for a turnover.

Probably doesn't really have to grind too hard Recruiting as he just stacks 3 stars

I don't think you understand the actual expectations/history at Iowa. They're aren't demanding national championships. The expectations are to compete for big 10 championships and play in a decent bowl game.

Why shouldn’t they be higher?

They haven’t won the Big 10 in 17 years. This is the 3rd “Decent bowl” they’ve played in during that time.

Iowa is probably of the mindset that their best chance to compete is with consistency and sound coaching
