Do you honestly believe that?

You honestly believe he turned down Arkansas to stay at Memphis making 1/2 of what we probably would have paid him?

If you're that stupid, I can't help you. He's a 2nd year coach in the AAC.

If he continues having success, he will get a better offer. Here is the truth......Arky is fighting for fourth in the West.

Ole Miss fans were told he didn't clear the background check. UT backed off too. Not sure if Arky did or not.

You don't stay at Memphis unless you have to, so I don't think Arky was told "no" per se.

I know he failed the vetting process with both UT and UF. Rumors were gambling and/or womanizing.

Memphis signed him for 5 years at $2.6.

Don't be retarded. We should have offered him but we didn't.

About football? Nah. We know we can actually win the SEC.

Can Arkansas?

I would have severe reservations if your AD did not offer him the job.....unless it's Kiffin.

I find that hard to believe.

Why? There was a shitload of jobs open this year. Ole Miss’ booster network wanted him. UT would’ve taken him over the nothing they have now.

Something pinged on him clearly.

Really? Are you trying to make someone believe that an Arkansas boy would turn down a couple million per year raise (at least!) to coach his home state SEC team?

What does the Arkansas fanbase think about Chad Morris?

IMO, Arky got a minimal upgrade. They've scored points in the last few years - they've had no defense.

Good move for Chad - maybe lateral move for Arky?

It is very difficult to win at Arkansas. Recruits don't want to go there. For the most part, Arkansas is devoid of in-state high school talent. Coaches know this.

Or he's your typical meth dealer from Missouri and knows business would be better in Memphis.

There are others with recruiting advantages for sure But the UA campus is 5-6 hrs drive from DFW metroplex, and about 1/4 of the incoming freshman students are from Texas. So Arkansas should be able to greatly improve Texas recruiting back to levels once seen before joining the SEC. With the right coach, like many others, Arkansas can be very hard to deal with. Finding that "right coach" is the hard part as so many programs have seen. Just ask Bama after Bear, and many many other programs. Is Morris that coach, I have no ideal.
