Odom was close to taking the Memphis job as a head coach and was waiting on MIZZOU to offer the job to him. It was not a quick hire. That is something that Memphis is a great place to get a head coach job at a good power 5 school. By the way Odom was a DC at MIZZOU for 1 year before he got the head coach job. You got to give Odom credit for keeping the team together after a slow start. Hiring coaches to your staff is not easy. That is the key right there. Can Odom replace OC and get MIZZOU to keep MIZZOU on the upswing? Chad Morris is just another guy that he might do the same with the others that followed the head coach path. Time will tell if they will be successful. Good luck to all coaches.
