quote:Absolutely, and that is mainly because their offensive strength was our defensive weakness. Not to mention, it did not matter how terrible their defense was, with Chizik meddling with our offense, we had no hope of success in any offensive phase. Tyler Bray would've thrown for 400 yards and 5 touchdowns against us. Cordarrelle Patterson and Justin Hunter would have, no doubt, caught every pass thrown their way.
Tenn last season would have beat AU by double digits.

No one was attacking you guys with the run, except LSU because, as we all know
you just making stuff up now? how many rushes per game do you think is average, attacking via the run, attacking via the pass
ETA
take out the shitty non conference teams like LA monroe etc.. and it was 34.2 passes vs 31.8 rushes against auburn. take the outlier of Arky(49 passes) and you get 29 vs 29.3 attempts

And be preseason #3.
What does that have to do with which team was worse? 2000 Bama was bad and lacked unity under a moron of a coach, but as bad as they were they still won 3 SEC games and outside of a ranked MSU (lost by 22) team did not get blown out. 2012 Auburn lost its last three SEC games by an average of 50-7.

Trovon Reed said under Gus Malzahn in 2010, they practiced fast
LSU started a lot of Chip Kelly style quick, continuous O-plays last year. Haven't had a chance too see a practice yet but the the reports on TD is that this is the norm now with Coach Cameron. I like it myself...more plays, guys have to be better conditioned, exciting football to me.

What does a mythical game between UT adn Au last year have to do with this thread...nothing.

LSU ran like 65 plays a game last year...you guys will like seeing 80. Be careful, bama fans may call those 15 extra plays gimmicky.

Every thing that's not a one-back offense is gimmicky. Disregard the fact that bama has run a trick play against Auburn almost every year since Saban got there.

Of course if not executed well it will be a 'hurry up and punt' offense

I told a buddy that if AU scored 20 and lost by 14, I'd be happy bec we scored.
