Poor WDE though

Well it can't can't any worse. I'm going to go out on a limb and say it improves pretty dramatically.

I've said this in many respects towards Auburn football over the past 5 years, and every year I seem to get proven wrong.

To be fair, it really did seem like it couldn't be worse. 2010 was able to blind us all to a level of incompetence that I don't know we will see again. I think we've also learned that Gus and Theodore Roof weren't the issues. Bizarre stuff.

Tenn gave up 600 more yards on defense than AU last year...it can get worse.

Because you scored 42 points a game.

I just wish we lived in a world where Bama would hire Dooley and Chiz as Co-Head Coaches.

I feel so bad for the things I said about Ted Roof during his tenure here...

The funny thing is, after 2010, I remember having a conversation with my brother about how I wished we could find a way to get Malzahn the head coaching job. Then, by the end of 2011, I wasn't particularly sad to see him go. It's funny how blind we all were to what was actually going on behind the scenes up until this past season.

My only regret is they didn't fire Chizik in season so we could see a huge bounce back performance and know for sure.

Eh, it wouldn't have made much of a difference. Chizik and Yoxall were getting undermined by TroopaLoop, so there was no discipline on the team and they were weak as shite.

I do think Loeffler will go on to do good things at Virginia Tech (if they'll give him time).

Please you scored 42 ppg and gave up 250 yards passing a game. Fairley was good. No one was attacking you guys with the run, except LSU because, as we all know, our offense is garbage.

Chiz had to slow them down to make up for the piss poor job he was doing with the defense. Perhaps now that he won't be fricking that up, you guys can run an effective blur style.

The HC gets to set game plan and style of play for the defense and offense. Gus was able to run the offense very close to the way he wanted to but Chizik slowed him down after a while. I suspect there will be games where Gus will blow out the comeptition as Chizik wanted to sit on a lead and burn the clock to help out the defense.

Is that why 8 teams had over 100 yards rushing against us...cause they werent attacking us with the run?

OM had over 200.

Im wrong all the time too...its ok. We had a good rush D bec. we had a good rush D.

You act like all of our games were blowouts. Most came down to the wire so it's not like teams were playing catch up and had to throw the ball the whole time. The fact is that we had run defense that was stout and a pass defense that was garbage. Some teams were smart and aired it out from the get go, some were dumb and tried to run on us and failed so they then resorted to throwing the ball.

So your argument is you gave up rushing yards in a bunch of games? I thought you were arguing how good your rush D was. I have to admit, I'm a little confused as to where we want to go on this. It appears your data supports my position. Auburn wasn't that good against the run, but scored a lot to flip the dynamic of the game. Either way, I don't care. The 2010 team was good, no arguing with that.
