LSU-2003 Natty, LSU-2007 Natty, LSU 2011 Bed Crapping, LSU 2015-Lost in Black Hole, LSU 2019-Natty comin! If you knew your team would play for a Natty every 4 years would you be satisfied?

Not to mention you also end up playing your national championship game in your home state all of those years

The 2015 NCG wasn’t in New Orleans, hence why the cycle skipped that year.

George

ETA: unless this is in reference to the 2020 date of the actual game. If so, carry on. I haven't looked.

I actually thought it was the date of the game

The jersey patches always say the year of the game, not the year of the season

I am correct, actually, the game in Houston is the 2023 season.

2019 season - New Orleans
2020 season - Miami
2021 season - Indianapolis
2022 season - Los Angeles
2023 season - Houston

Of course.

Only Bama and Georgia fans expect to win it all every year. That's unreasonable and leads to insanity.

That's what makes it so crazy to me. Last year withstanding, every other year that LSU found themselves pushing for a national title (top 4 in CFP poll and/or BCS in November), the national title game was in New Orleans that year. Add in the 1958 season when LSU played in the Sugar Bowl, albeit were crowned prior, makes it a very cool coincidence.
