It always amuses me when you see a bunch of corndogs acting cordial and patting a team like Arkansas on the back for a "job well done" after a victory, as if LSU fans didn't just spend the last 3 hours being the trashiest fan base in sports.
That’s what being a good sport is all about. After the game you put it away.

Speaking of trashy fans
rewatching this video brings back memories of that game and up there with one of the worst calls ever.
The reaction was from the student section

Even when there’s nothing negative to complain about, never fear, people will find a way.

A Texas fan speaking about humility? GTFO with that.

You do realize that Texas is considered the corndog state
While corn dogs are enjoyed nationwide, the State of Texas is closely associated with their introduction and popularization, particularly through the Fletcher's Original Corny Dogs at the State Fair of Texas. Oregon also has a strong claim, with the Pronto Pup being invented there.
Elaboration:
Texas:
The Fletcher brothers introduced their "Corny Dogs" at the State Fair of Texas in 1942, and it has remained a staple there ever since, according to Fletcher's Original Corny

Arkansas was truly the best part of the old SWC. Thanks for reminding me.

Dude LSU baseball fans are completely different than LSU football fans but of course classless Texas fans wouldn’t know how to be humble
The fans that celebrated Stoney Brook's win in Alec Box. Skip has set a baseball culture in BR that is what he wants it to be. The fan base exemplifies Skips attitude to the game and the opponents even a decade or more after he retired. LSU Baseball fans want to win, but they appreciate good baseball...

I remember sitting next to some UT fans in Rosenblatt for the CWS finals in 2009 (against Texas).
I was a freshman in college, sitting next to some adult UT fans, older than my folks at the time. Every time UT hit a HR in game 1 (they were not a HR hitting team, and they hit like 4 this game). Old man longhorn, would jump up, get in my face and yell “small ball baby! Small ball” over…. And over…
So bizarre and trashy that it sticks with me 16 years later. I didn’t even talk to the guy the whole game other than the pleasantries of “where ya from”.
Texas lost, I was happy, and didn’t say a word.
ETA: thinking about it, was it you? Y’all sorta exhibit the outrageous behaviors….

Yep. Even Skip gave Tulane a big pep talk after eliminating LSU in the Super Regional. We gonna yell hell at you during the game, but give the opposing pitcher a standing ovation after a great performance. There's no way in hell LSU should have won that game. Arkansas outperformed us for 8-1/2 innings. We all know that. And we know how hard it is to get that 27th out too. LSU baseball fans appreciate good baseball and good teams. I'll tip my hat to the Hogs. They were a very challenging opponent and deserve respect.
Some fanbases may not get that (all with a T in their name), but all the mainstay SEC baseball fans get it.

This is not true. The fans are the same fans. Baseball is just a different sport, that is why baseball is treated with more decorum.
I can feel bad for Arkansas and recognize they are a great baseball team, and then in the fall want to shite all over their football team and fanbase.
