This is what I don’t understand. Is TAF a NIL that pays players or not?

From the post-donation-email:

“ For every dollar you contribute to our football student-athletes NIL opportunities through the Bayou Traditions Football Fund, Paqui and I are proud to match your gift dollar-for-dollar, up to $1 million, to invest in resources that will help our players reach their full potential through the Tiger Athletic Foundation's AD's Excellence Fund. ”

I just wish we got to play LSU more often with our starting QB....since 2020... Mizzou vs LSU : 1-1

Us too, cuz then we’d be 2-0 against you - with 2 of our historically worst defenses. Congrats on the .500 record though?

Nope if Tennessee, LSU, & UGA were all 6-2 Tennessee wins the tie breaker for going 2-0 against Florida & Bama

I believe you are correct - people forget, the path was there when all the favorites won for a 5-way tie. This was before ATM would pick up their loss to AUB (ending up with 3 conference L’s) & Bama dropping the ball against OU, picking up their 3rd SEC L.

I think most people would say Mack Brown was not a bust lol

I’m wondering if he’s considering Sark the bust??? I have no idea. But it’s a bad look either way… facepalm for this guy.

Spoken like another Texas team we all know….

*if* Bama doesn’t backdoor into BCS we too could have gone back-to-back in 2011-12. But alas, we didn’t, but then we did win again in 2019…. And if we win another by the 2030, I’ll be happy.

As you yourself have noted, with luck/human polls/injuries/luck of the transfers, it’s insanely hard to win a Natty, and even more tough now with the expanded playoff.

What fan wouldn’t be happy with a natty a decade?

What would we call 2005, Vince Young…. Couldn’t imagine what it would be like to not have a title since the 70’s….
So, who picks Boosie’s “they dykin” as a walk-up song?

Yeah because Les Miles (Ohio) and Nick Saban (West Virginia) screamed south Louisiana. It just so happened Ed is the only Cajun accented coach in the United States.

Thank you. Jeez, do people really think every head coach “acts” like ‘their’ school? It’s just ridiculous. Could you imagine saying this when Saban got here? We had one Coach, O, and everybody just assumes you hire ‘one of your own’?

I do not care who the man is, and how he fits. You just want somebody who can build and lead a winning program. Kelly’s tenure seems that it will live and die based on his coordinator hires. The question is, can he coordinate his coordinator hires so we have a good D & good O at the same time (good, not great, etc).

I can always tell when we’re going to lose though, it’s that famous TV shot of him looking lost up at the video board, as if he has no answer, and then he usually doesn’t.
I’m assuming there is sarcasm here? He did specify “25 wins”.

re: Russell Shepherd after football

Yep, my buddy (an ATM grad - doesn’t care much about football) who works as a PM for a large multifamily GC asked me if I knew of a Russel Shepard… said he was a sub at one of their sites down in Galveston.
