They are going to make people buy the 12.99 ESPN+/Disney+/Hulu bundle aren't they?

We'll be lucky if it's that inexpensive, but you're correct, that's where this is headed in a hurry.
I guess we've got a few more years of CBS contracting remaining and CBS will make sure to hold our feet to the fire until the very end .... 2023 I read somewhere?
By then I'll be staying st home to watch games anyway. Or traveling and watching games on a mobile device.
TV is changing human existence on every level.

Let’s get a 3:00/3:30 start out of the prime time game while we are at it.

CBS has been screwing us for years.

Having Disney get the deal sounds bad

I don't see the SEC allowing the marquee game each week not being OTA.

No, I'll miss the iconic SEC on CBS jingle that starts the production and before commercials. As we all will.

The only downside to this is that there is an intangible value for the SEC to be the only game for a network and owned that 2:30 timeslot. That was valuable real estate for the conference relative to publicity.

I think its a bad idea. I like being the only college football on cbs. We know sec game of the week is at 2:30 every Saturday! The game of the season is at 7pm. With abc, it’s a weekly 7pm slot so it doesn’t hold much weight.! Then if it’s multiple big games in each conference, then what game will abc choose? Bc abc shows big 10 and acc games. I think we should stay on cbs. The announcers can be changed!

Sure leaving CBS is all fine and good, until you see Beth Mowins doing the Iron Bowl....

I see fox making a play for SEC football. I don’t think Disney gets this by default. Hell someone like Amazon could make a fortune off this.

This is a sad day.
The end of an era.

Not looking forward to Chris Fowler calling more SEC games.

Can Disney please buy the rights to Jefferson Pilot and the CBS theme music so we can have all the money but keep the nostalgia
