Love the quibble words.

He's never had a losing partial season either. He was 3-2 when USC fired him.

As far as the 'college coach' part goes, well, I can name one less than completely successful NFL coach has managed to scratch out a respectable college career.

Yeah, but Boca/ Miami is 100000000x better than Alabama as a whole. Worth the pay decrease

No way I'd live in S. Florida. No way. What a shitty place to lay your head. The people are as fake as the tits. I'd much rather live in a big college town in the south.

I just calculated the cost of living for both cities. Lane's $1 million in Boca Raton would be around $816K in Tuscaloosa. That's around a 40% decrease in salary.

Well I guess it is amazing anyone would live in Boca.

I think most ADs and Presidents are pussies. Kiffin embarrassed himself, but not the school at all his stops. A lot of great coaches can not say the same.

You should give Liberty City and Overtown a try.

Lane definitely wasted his time in Tuscaloosa since it did nothing for his career. He could have gotten this shitty FAU job without spending the last 3 years getting bullied on the sidelines.

Wrong.

Saban gave this man a chance when he was toxic in the coaching profession. He mentored him and got him some image repair. Does he have a top tier job? no, but what he got done from an image perspective these past 3 years is immeasurable and will serve him well down the road. He is 43 and has his head coaching career still in front of him. He'll be back in the big game one day. Honestly, right now he doesn't need a bigger job than FAU.

Lane will look back at these 3 years and say this was the most productive of his life.

Eh, one thing it did was forever make him known as a great offensive coordinator. Even if he fails at FAU, he can get another OC job at a big program rather easily, I'd imagine.

You've obviously never been to that part of Florida. It's a great place to live.

I'd love to know the formula you used to determine that 1 million to 816,000 is a 40% decrease.

I like how everyone around here turns into the sensitive snowflakes they claim to hate so much when it comes to Saban's treatment of poor Lane Kiffin.

If there is one thing I have learned is that the LSU jealousy of Bama never takes a break.

Laugh all you want, big boy. I've spent countless days there on business and there is no fricking way I'd live in South Florida. Just a different ethic altogether. frick that place.

As a resident of Palm Beach County, I concur. It's not even close.

Don't be so sure... there are some straight up donkey faced trolls in Boca Raton.
