I don't care, but it makes no sense to say it's the four best teams and not deserving and put Alabama over FSU, but then put FSU over Georgia. If FSU had their QB and won these last two games decisively they would be in and Alabama would be out.

If the idea is that we can plainly see Bama would beat FSU head to head, what sense does it make to put FSU ahead of Georgia. I don't really care. I'm not arguing for Georgia here. Just laughing at how illogical it is.

I think the vote was just so close. Bama barely got in.

Basically the same thing I just posted in another thread. It is a bit disingenuous to apply inconsistent logic/criteria.

Revisit your thoughts after you beat the crap out of them in the bowl game.

I agree with you man. UGA should have been 5. If I was college football god for the day I would bounced Michigan and put in UGA.

I'm still confused how Texas losing to a relatively mediocre Oklahoma team got completely swept under the rug and basically forgotten

No sense. The committee just put who they wanted in there.

Agree with you. By their own logic Georgia should be ahead of FSU.

Hopefully Georgia settles this on the field vs FSU in a bowl game. That’s one we all want to see.

The selected them that way so they could reveal them the way they did. Its all tv views and ratings.

It’s because they beat Bama that’s it

It’s not logic. It’s a beauty contest. They wanted Bama in the playoff so they had to contort themselves to make it happen.

Michigan-Alabama is going to get much higher ratings than Michigan-FSU would have. I think that’s one of the main reasons Alabama got in. After the top 4 not many people, including the committee, care about the order.

I can't believe in the last year of this format, that the committee didn't just default to the easy copout, and do FSU over Bama.

With Texas beating Bama in Tuscaloosa, and FSU beating LSU as equally as Bama did, also paired to a win in the Swamp..and Rodemaker set to return by Playoffs..

They would've had an easy out in telling a Saban/Bama full of Natties in their back pocket..sorry..try again next year.

The committee just needs to put bammer and uga in every year against whoever. It's obvious after this many bammer back-ins that the regular season means very little.

If it helps, I think Georgia should be ranked #5 ahead of FSU!

Yes. That is one of the criteria they weigh. If your qb is injured and is out for the season, it hurts your chances.

I'm pretty sure that's never been a secret and probably isn't even what's at issue.

That said, Georgia definitely should have been ranked ahead of FSU because of the QB injury.
