LSU has won 3/4 Super Bowls against the dumpsterfire.
You need to embrace your new rival in Mizzoo. Congrats on that.

WHAT? 2008 was rough because we lost our DC and the Mallveto experiment blew nutsack.

He mentioned Bama I believe once at a recruiting bash. They were the enemy the minute they hired Saban. Les didn't have to do anything.

BEat all 3 and Texas A&M with the Heisman winner. Should've beaten Bama and we laid a fricking egg against UF and Clemson.

2012
So beating a Top 25 Bowl team Washington 41-3
just like - doesn't count ??????????
So beating #3 South Carolina 23-21 like.....never happened ???????????
Playing AT Cotton Bowl Champ Top 5 Heisman-winning A&M and beating them 24-19 (and giving up a cheap TD at end) was like.......a mirage ????
Holding you people to 1 first down and 0 passing yards in the second half until the very end, and being ONE first down from 3 kneel-downs like.......didn't really happen ???????
AND...........
2011
The following scores like..............NEVER
HAPPENED ??????????????????????????????
40-27 - OVER #3 Oregon
49-3 NW St.
19-6 - AT #17 MSU
47-21 - AT #16 West Virginia
35-7 - Kentucky
41-11 - Florida
38-7 - AT Tennessee
45-10 - Auburn
9-6 - AT #2 Alabama
42-9 - WKU
52-3 - AT Ole Miss
41-17 - #3 Arkansas
42-10 - #9 Georgia SECCG
500-123
You are so out of touch it's embarrassing.

the beauty is in the respect each team has for the other. at the start of any season, you ask the players and coaches whats the biggest game on the schedule. they'll take you thru the whole focusing on one game at a time. then they'll reference bama/lsu, depending on who your talking to. as much as these guys cant afford to look ahead, thats the game they look forward to. respect

Hmmm, if only LSU had played the second most Freshman in the country last year. And, if only LSU had a top 5 ranked recruiting class...again.
LSU is one of the few teams that should be ok with such losses. I'm not saying we'll be in Pasadena, but you'd be foolish to think LSU is a dumpster fire. For that, I suggest you look at the Arkansas Program.

Well stated. It's a mutual respect and both teams know that 1 single yard can make or break the game. Ask LSU on 4th and 1 this year trying to run the clock out. 1 yard there and LSU wins.

You think Miles was taking a risk by throwing for 3 straight downs when Lsu needed to burn the clock in the Chicken Bowl? No, it was just downright stupidity on his part, not some riverboat gambler type shite. He's not a savant, he's just a dumbass.
He took a risk and it didn't pay off. He looked like an idiot. If LSU had picked up a 1st passing the ball, he'd look like a genius.
He probably took that risk based oon the Alabama game when he ran the ball three straight times didn't get the 1st, giving Bama the ball whereby they went down the field on their fateful last drive. He was an idiot for running the ball against Bama and an idiot for passing the ball against Clemson.

He started calling BAMA the "m'fing Tide" and referencing them in every LSU gathering he spoke at. LSU people ate it up, and Les became more motivated. He started recruiting at an elite level again and built teams that can beat BAMA. I give him credit. LSU is clearly one of the top 2 programs in the SEC and he has had them near the top for nearly a decade now.
Wow, just wow. Bravo on throwing up on a page and hoping someone will read.
First lets address 2008 & 2009. In 2008, coming off of winning a National Championship we lost our Defensive Coordinator, starting Quarterback and Quarterback of the future. We relied on two freshman and a sophmore transfer from Harvard yet still managed to go 8-5 that season. 2009 we bring in Chavis, still have development at the Quarterback position and go 9-4.
In regards to starting to recruit at an elite level again, when did he not recruit at an elite level? Just looking at Rivals team rankings, Miles has only had 3 years without a top 10 class. Every year has atleast been a top 25 class. Miles was hired on January 2nd, 2005. That year he was able to finish with a top 22 class after being on the job for a month. The rest of his tenure his recruiting classes have been ranked as follows: 7th, 4th, 11th, 2nd, 6th, 6th, 18th.
If you want to pat yourself on the back and think the world revolves around Bama then give it a try but atleast bring some better points to argue with.

it's amazing to me. there are some Bama fans who are clearly intelligent, humble people who enjoy their football team's success and make this rivalry a great thing to witness and be a part of by showing mutual respect and good-natured ribbing when warranted.
then there's the moronic, trolling, chest-thumping Bama fans who absolutely delight in watching LSU fans get pissed off and exude a feeling of helplessness in the face of Bama's recent success.
then there's Arkansas fans.

There is nobody on Bama's regular season schedule that Saban wants to beat more than LSU. I don't care who y'all claim your rivals are. It is laughable that y'all act like he starts preparing for that game only the week before.

Dinardo, not Saban woke the sleeping giant by starting to get LA kids to believe that it was ok to go to LSU with his "bring back the magic" crusade. Saban walked into a gold mine waiting to blow up. He then took the program and proved that with work, the program could potentially reach an elite level, however in his 5 years at LSU, only once did Saban lose less than 3 games/season. Then Les walks in takes what DInardo and Saban had started and then proceeds to turn it into a consistent top 10 team. At no point has LSU ever won on talent alone. With regard to the 08 and 09 years, one word can sum those up, quarterback. J. Lee was the 3rd string QB going into the season in 08. Perrilloux got busted for fake IDs in a casino and got booted, Hatch got knocked the f out in the 3rd game of the season, so a RS freshmen who has had minimal snaps with the first team gets to make his starting debut in the middle of SEC play. It didn't go well that year. Jefferson took over starting in the Arkansas game(last game) that year. In 09, JJ is a brand new starter. Insert 10, 11, and 12 and LSU is 34-6 over that time period, which is good for second most wins behind Bama during that time, who is 35-5.
The thing about Miles, is he is different and when people don't like different, (which is a majority of the south, since we like our "traditions", etc.) they speak up against it. What Miles has done at LSU is worthy of getting his pay raise. It's silly hard to sustain success for damn near a decade and especially in the SEC when you know every year you are playing Florida and Bama, not to mention whoever else is hot that year. Does he talk different, yup. Does he make goofy coaching decisions, yup. Does he have LSU in position to compete and potentially win a NC every year, yup. He's a good coach, a beastly recruiter, and honestly, the rest of the country loves the guy. He gets more publicity than any other coach I have seen at LSU. The media loves him and he has been good for the program.
Even though my passion for LSU, leads to me getting pissed at Miles for certain decisions he makes in games, if I step back and rationally look at the state of the program, he's done a damn good job and isn't slowing down. 2013 is one of if not the best top to bottom recruiting class we've had ever and LA in 2014 is just plain nasty with talent, so expect next year's class to be top 5.
Excellent.

Here is where I think Les has a certain degree of "genius" but it is also one of the reasons he always seems to lose 1-2 games every year he has no business losing. At the very least, he "nearly" loses a couple every year that shouldn't even be close: HE RECRUITS/COACHES/LIVES TO BEAT BAMA. Les got lucky when he showed up at LSU. Saban had awakened the giant and had built a program that could win on talent alone. All Les had to do was keep things rolling. And he did (mostly). And even though he would lose a couple every year to inferior talent, he did well enough to win a BCS championship.
So why does Saban lose Atleast one game a year?
Also Miles inherited a 4 loss LSU team. Not some great powerhouse. Saban finished in the top 10 once at LSU. Once. This notion that LSU was an elite program is false. Saban lost ATLEAST 3 games EVERY YEAR , But ONCE , while at LSU.
