Regardless of year or timeframe...

I'm going to say Kiehl Frazier and Star Jackson for my two.

Kiehl Frazier was so bad, he made Jeremy Johnson look like a pro prospect, and he was a 5 star player by almost every recruiting site. He switched to safety at Auburn, and went on to play at Ouachita Bapstist in Arkansas.

Star Jackson was supposed to Nick Saban's first great quarterback at Alabama, that he recruited. He ended up buried on the depth chart and transferred to Georgia State...but couldn't start there, either. IIRC, he was a highly sought after 4 star.

5 star

Tyler Love (2008): Redshirted as a true freshman in 2008 and saw little playing time throughout the remainder of his Alabama career. Never earned a starting job with the Tide before his eligibility ran out.

BJ Scott. Was a 5star player who was supposed to be Julio's robin. Had less than 100 yards for his career

Ryan Perriloux & Star Jackson at least had name recognition*. Tyler Love for Bama went from 5 star to nobody really fast.

ETA: *Recognition towards their transfer.

I'll also throw in Trovon Reed, although I think his "bust" status is somewhat the coachin staff's fault. He never should've been at wide receiver, and has made a nice living in the NFL at cornerback.

RP wasn't really a bust. He was just a POS during that point in his life and ended up getting kicked out of LSU. He could have been a 3 year starter.

According to the Barn it is Reuben Foster and Rashaan Evans.

According to me... Star Jackson has to be up there somewhere. Phillip Sims, T. Love, and BJ Scott are on the list as well.

Funny. Because the Barn started this thread and I don't see them mentioned

If I wasn't so lazy today... I could go back and quote the posts from the Barners from the past. Enjoy.

Never played a meaningful snap in even one game, ever.

Man, this is a pretty interesting thread. I had already pretty much forgotten about all these guys even though they were on their respective squads just a few years ago.

No, Auburn fans just acknowledge how retarded Radio is. He has always been a good player, he just played out of control and always seemed to knock him self out...up until this year. He lacked self discipline.

Thanks for fricking up the thread though, Harvey.

Not one of the SECs biggest, but a big one at MSU.

Ray Ray Bivenes. High school All American wider receiver from the Coast. Rated No. 6 in the nation. Had offers from everyone. Stayed in state at MSU.

Jackie Sherill famously said that you could not catch him in a phone booth.

His best season was 511 yards and 4 touchdowns.

Complete bust.

I had forgotten all about BJ Scott. Did he switch positions a few times? If so, maybe that stunted his growth as a player?

BJ Scott

I'll always give him a pass. He was a great recruiter for that 2008 class. I'll go with Shaq Roland. I thought he was going to be a star at South Carolina.
