re: What did you people expect to happen??
Posted by White Goodman on 12/13/16 at 9:32 am
I love how only in a few weeks the narrative have is gone from; "Hire O, he'll keep the class in tact and be able to bring on elite coordinators. He's been able to keep this class together and that speaks for itself. He's going to bring back Dylan and Allen. He's going to hire Kiffin from Alabama."
To
"What did you all expect to happen? Of course we were going to lose some recruits. Of course we had to offer a kid who wasn't coming here and lose two committed QBs in the process. Dylan and Allen were never coming here and are overrated. Kiffin didn't want to come here and he sucks too. O is going a great job"
Next it will be
"What did you all expect to happen. Of course we are 6-6. What did you expect? Les left the cupboard bare with all those top 5 recruiting classes. Give O time, he's going great"

I don't care what you and your boyfriend do, just don't tell the OT about it.

Is he thinking "what if I actually fought another boxer, instead of quick jabs and spending the rest of the fight running?"

Alright.
Agree to disagree. Not a big deal.

Yea, really not trying to get into a dick measuring contest here but Ranger school is more of a "grueling right of passage" for a lot in the Army. Not really a "skills" course. Basically, as long as you can take the punishment and sleep deprivation, you'll get your tab. I haven't been to Ranger course but have worked with many many many of those who have and that's straight from their mouths.

re: What Kind Of Success Would Saban Have to Have in the NFL......
Posted by White Goodman on 12/13/16 at 8:17 am
His style doesn't work in the NFL. You can't threaten grown men and threaten to pull their scholarships like you can in college. He'd end up getting his little arse choke slammed pulling some of that shite in the NFL.

It's really quite simple;
Yaw yaw yaw... yaw yaw... yaw
Yaw yaw.... yawyawyaw... yaw
Yawyawyawyaw... yaw yaw.... yaw yaw
Make sense now, dumbass?

If he's really looking to do it. He'll need to put on some solid mass. A&S will drop you about 15-20 pounds. Training needs to include; weights, running, and lots of humps (hikes with 50-100 pounds of gear)
The swim isn't bad. Not nearly the level needed for SEAL or Recon training but he (you) needs to be water competent and confident. If you're a little bitch in the water, the instructors will frick with you to make you quit. If you look confident and comfortable it's not bad at all. When "someone I know" did A&S, he needed to have at least 3 years on contract in order to continue on to be an operator. Basic follow on schools are a little over a year. Advanced schools continue pretty much your entire enlistment. They're really gearing their training/mission to be that of an Army SF unit with some strike force and maritime capability as well. Hopefully if Mattis gets the SECD position, MARSOC (MSOB) will get some sexier missions. As it stands now, the SEALs, and Delta get all the good shite because that's who are the most proven. MARSOC barely gets any good missions themselves and are used as "tag alongs" for a lot of the higher profile shite. Hope this was helpful. It's very very very much worth it IMO.
ETA: what some others have said is true as well. Needs some time in. I've only seen them take boots (new Marines) when they were just standing up (06-07) to my knowledge, your friend will need some time in the Corps before they're going to select him now. I think age requirement is still 21 and you can't be past the rank of Staff Sergeant (E-6)
Yes, they used Recon and Force Recon to stand up initially due to personnel issues and manpower. Around 07 is when they opened it to all MOS fields because they realized they were excluding a lot of good Marines. Also, IQ and intelligence is very very valued... Operators are from every field; Admin, Supply, Ammo, etc
Being a grunt will neither help or hurt you. The combat tactics taught differ from that of a full squad or platoon because advanced schooling is based on very very small unit tactics. As long as you know land nav, you're right on par with the grunts. I've "heard of" a lot of them try to come to the course with swole heads because they thought they'd breeze through and were dropped within the first count days.

Sorry you're so butt hurt, man.
At what point in your life were you the most physically fit?
Posted by White Goodman on 12/12/16 at 5:04 pm
Getting older and starting to notice significant drop-offs. I've heard your late 20s and early 30s are your peak for strength, but I just don't feel it (29)
Most physically fit I've ever been was at 23 while stationed in Japan. Nothing to do but lift, run, and train.
What say you OT baws?

re: Am I the only one who feels bad for our LSU brethren?
Posted by White Goodman on 12/12/16 at 4:33 pm
I upvoted. I'm sure you're trolling but you're absolutely right. I don't even have the will to fight it any more. I believe we are the only program capable of bringing in a level of talent to compete with Bama (as close as can be expected at this point) but it's clear to me now. Our administration is completely incompetent and have sold us down the river based on the ramblings of retard Cajuns and facebook soccer moms. We will not compete with Alabama as long as this administration is in place. Alleva, F. King, and O are incompetent.
re: Non-Bama fan; how do you feel about Bama's current run?
Posted by White Goodman on 12/12/16 at 3:59 pm
It's ruining the fun of college football for me. Just pure dominance by Saban at this point. I don't care if LSU sucks, I'm just ready for someone to out recruit Saban.
