You know what is really stupid is to argue a guy is better without having anything to back it up. I used stats which is pretty much the only way to compare the two. You used nothing except the incredibly stupid words that are coming out of your mouth.
quote:irrelevant and yes Chubb was better in the league
Then you also have the backup of the NFL stats. Yes I know we are comparing college but it also says the last 20 years. Nick Chubb not only proved it in college but is continuing to prove it in the NFL with one of the worst franchises in the league.

McFadden won the Doak Walker twice and finished as Heisman runner up twice. Chubb never even made an all American team.
But hey I guess you’re right and the All American team and Award winners for Best running back are wrong lol

What is really stupid is a 200 post trying to dictate what people say on here?
Strength of schedule should also be considered, did the rb share with another backs? Style of offense? Injuries to said RB or his back ups, etc.
End of the day it is just good discussion as each of us have our right to respond.

The guy posted that me using stats were outrageously stupid. You only resort to calling someone stupid when you don't have facts on your side.
fact one Mcfadden ran alot of plays out of the wild hawg which gave him a blocking advantage.
fact two Chubb shared a backfield with a guy who rushed for 3600 yds. So you can't say that Jones and Hillis took some carries away from mcfadden without saying the same thing for Chubb
Fact Nick Chubb had a devestating knee injury his 2nd year that he had to overcome and mcfadden didn't have to deal with that situation.
Fact Nick Chubb is playing with a worse NFL team than McFadden ever played with and yet is still putting up NFL leading rushing numbers than McFadden. Last 20 years Nick Chubb has shown in college where he had the better team he was better in the NFL where it is just as obvious that Chubb is playing with a worse team than Mcfadden did he is still putting up better numbers.

That’s an opinion, not a fact.

Mcfadden won Doak Walker twice and was runner up for the Heisman twice and was an All American twice. Chubb never hit any of those accomplishments once.
Those are facts. But you probably know more than the All American teams and awards designed for the best players. Lol.

Fact Nick Chubb has played in four Pro Bowls which he was voted into how many did McFadden play in.

The thread has best college player in it??
Chubb is great and a way better pro - how that has anything to do with college accomplishments and who was objectively better is beyond me.
Was Brady a better college QB than Tebow bc he’s the best QB in the NFL ever? The answer is no.

quote:This is wrong. Not even close. I don’t have a dog in this fight. McFadden is the best college RB in the last 20 yrs. The Wild Hogg is not an advantage, it’s what you do if your QB can’t hit water when throwing the ball overboard. If it’s such an advantage then why isn’t everyone using it? Stats won’t tell the whole story. Different factors come into play. SOS, how good the team is, and offensive scheme just to name a few. If you used just stats, Ron Dayne held the NCAA record for yards at one time. But is he considered great? Probably only by Badger fans.
I used stats which is pretty much the only way to compare the two.

Chubb, Michel, and Gurley. Chubb was the best IMO.
I’d go with Gurley.
Injuries really hampered him.
His running in the open field was a thing of effortless beauty.

Yeah that’s fair, there’s no way to know who holds up longer.

National Awards are a product of your competition. Some of that had to do with the fact that he had a nasty ACL in college and he split carry’s his entire career at UGA. Chubb and McFadden are different backs. Chubb is more Emmitt Smith, McFadden is more Eric Dickerson.
I’m not opposed to the assertion that McFadden was better in college, I might not even disagree. But the idea that Chubb had a great OL? He didn’t. He had a good OL in 2017. He was also behind a guy named Todd Gurley who was the best RB in the NFL for 3-4 years. Chubb dang sure didnt have a great QB or passing attack. Georgia was a better team than Arkansas but a lot of that was UGA was better defensively.

Well McFadden only played a full season twice in his 10 years of playing.
Hard to play in a pro bowl when you're injured.

Lol at all these clowns downvoting you when you’re right. AP was built different. Only thing close to him is Derrick Henry

That whole DMC group was effective, but McFadden was crazy good. These best ever conversations are very subjective so not chiming in other than to say he was a heck of a college back.
