isn't Dabo or the litany of other names that have been bandied about during the off season. Nope. The best replacement for Saban would be Orgeron. Expectations are high. Bama needs a coach with thick skin and who will evolve and not try to force their system if the players don't fit or isn't working. O evolves. O fits the criteria to a T. Only issue for Bama though, is you can't have him.

I agree. In no way am I inferring O will go to Bama. However, O would do well at Bama.

By the time Saban retires, the list of coaches will be entirely different than the lists people make these days.

Honestly, the list is almost NEVER good. It’s crazy that there are so few standout coaches and so sure- fire bets. And as for what makes a great coach, nobody knows. It’s always at best an educated- guess. Great jobs outnumber great coaches 5-1.

Alabama went all in with Saban. Alabama has and always will be the best, but the money they've put in ensures so much success for Saban.

Saban had a hip replacement last year. The story is that he needed it because his hip was bothering him. False. We are using the hip to grow a Nick Saban clone. Nick 2.0 will be even better.

Mike Dubose is prime to make another run at it. He has learned a lot going back to his roots as a position coach at his alma mater Opp High School.

You can't beat them, join them. Urban renewal, he is healed. Urban Meyer at Bama.

Most of the Bama fans I know have soured on Dabo. Mario is probably the choice of 75% or better.

Dabo’s steam is running out. Cristobal likely if he can swing a NC to Oregon.

In two or three years, when the family can no longer hide the fact that Nicky is wandering through the house, babbling and shitting himself...he will "retire to take another position in the athletic Department."

Coach Drink, who will have lead Mizzou to greatness, will then take over.

Kajunman, I do appreciate your attempt at sardonic, condescending manner of trolling. It didn’t make me laugh I it wasn’t a poor attempt at rustling Bama posters.

The serious answer would have been Christobal but Phil Knight would laugh hysterically at the Bama booster when the checkbooks came out. After it’s obvious Dabo’s never coming, I’m at a total loss who would fit with our insanely, rabid, entitled, asses. So I don’t know who? I do demand that the Bama boosters do not allow Dabo to worm out a 5 million per annum raise. Don’t even offer him the job.

P.J. Fleck has high ambitions.

He needs one more hop to a better school than Minnesota.

If he is successful at his next gig, his name may be in the hat.
