Honorable mention for LSU- Andrew Whitworth, left tackle. 14 years and counting. 4 pro bowls. 2 first team selections and played for the fricking Bengals for the majority of it.

Georgia - Champ Bailey was a GREAT player. But there is no way he surpasses Herschel Walker
12x Pro Bowler
3x First Team All Pro
4x Second Team All Pro
NFL Hall of Famer (1st ballot)

Florida list, NFL careers only:
Emmitt Smith - how much was a product of that OL doesn't really matter, anything you take away for his situation being perfect you have to give credit back in his durability and being a team player
Jack Youngblood - replaced Deacon Jones on the Rams, played like a mean sonofabitch, one of the entrants for Throwback All-Name Team
Marquice Pouncey - future HOF Center
Lomas Brown - top 5 OT of the 90s

This. Willis only played for 8 years, but during that period, he was the best LB in the league.

Don Hutson for Alabama hands down. That dude set receiving records playing in 1940's offenses that were still standing when Jerry Rice finally broke them decades later.

Wilbur Marshal should be in NFL HOF already along with Lomas Brown. Marhsal is one of the most underrated LBs of all-time.
Fred Taylor - Will be first Jag in HOF

Thought Fred Smoot for Miss State.
Guess Dak Prescott will overtake Cox soon.

I submit the name Don Hutson from the Univ. of Alabama. If you aren't familiar with him, google him.

I agree with D. Thomas but Bart Starrr
would be the most successful of all Bama players. J. NAMATH, K.Stabler, C. Bennett, O. Newsome, J. Hannah,S Alexander, D. Henry J. Jones, T. Nathan
Etc.. apples and oranges!
D. Stephenson was a perennial All-Pro center for the Miami Dolphins.

That's a fair argument. I'd still take Herschel Walker though. In Bailey's corner is the fact that Herschel never played for an NFL championship team.
Herschel looks like he could suit up tomorrow and contribute. Reportedly still does over a 1000 sit-ups a day. Plus, though not relevant to an NFL argument, he is a multi-level black belt in Karate, competed in the Olympics in bobsledding, and even danced ballet.
On top of all that, even though he is a Dawg, I respect the hell out of him for being a conservative when it's not easy to do as a black man. The guy is just flat out hard not to like.
Maybe Champ is equally successful off the field, I have no idea.

Louisiana State (SEC) — Y.A. Tittle (1944-1947)-Like some of the other SEC schools, it was tough to pick just one player from LSU, but in a close toss-up between Patrick Peterson and Y.A. Tittle, the latter got the nod. Tittle had a solid career at quarterback for the Tigers in the mid-1940s but he became a legend when he got to the pros.
I'd like to throw out Alan Faneca for consideration for LSU.
201 games started out of 206 games played
9 time Pro Bowler
6X First Team All-Pro
2X Second Team All-Pro
Steelers All-Time Team
NFL 2000s All-Decade Team
That's a darn fine resume and I'd expect him to get into the HoF soon enough (players on the decade teams tend to get nods).

For Carolina I agree but maybe John Abraham? George Rogers?
Can’t go wrong with those

Impossible to compare when most weren’t alive to coherently see both play. Cox is on pace for a HOF career though, so I don’t disagree with that selection.

LSU - Jim Taylor
Hall of Fame FB for the Lombardi Packers has to get a mention.

Who was that undersized linebacker y'all had a few years back that absolutely stuck his helmet in nearly every play?
