Mmmk, fine. LSU is #1 and everybody else just sucks. Clearly.
Don't get your panties in a wad, how else are we going to define excellence if it's not National Championships? We might as well say the Buffalo Bills are the team of the 90's because, except for one game at the end of the season they had trouble with, you could otherwise make that point.

'm just saying there's not a LOT of distance there.
Expansion Period
South Carolina has 5 CWS appearences since expansion. LSU has 10.
LSU has 6 Conference Tourney championships, USC has 1
LSU has 5 SEC titles, USC has 3
LSU has 5 National Championships, USC has 2
We double up almost every single criteria on USC

I'm not, and I knew this was coming (didn't expect it from a Tennessee fan). I'm just saying it's not as much of a distant 2nd as the previous posters were pointing out. Recent or not, success is success.

I assure you I'm not the one that always chimes in on undefeated seasons. I don't even post on the SEC Rant much, and haven't been posting very long in general. But yes, I do think you can make an argument based on undefeated seasons. If I recall correctly, LSU was pretty damn bad for most of the 90s, so that argument could probably be made as well. I would have to look at the records to say for sure though.

Yea... it is a recent hard-on... when I think SEC baseball, I think LSU, but what would a 3-peat do?

They're #2, but it ain't by much

How many undefeated seasons, SEC titles or appearances, and NC titles and or appearances does Alabama have since 92? And how many does Auburn have?

Well, I'm giving an unbiased opinion.
Someone needs to start a "best 8 teams from each sport" thread so I can participate with biased opinions.

Why should they be in the top 3 when they sucked for almost half of the time period in question?
Championships are what matters. LSU is second in conference championships since expansion, and they'll be tied for first in national titles with a win against Bama.

We'd still only make it in 1 category

the criteria was since 92 and lsu doubles or more than doubles USC in every category. if you cant admit that then you are pretty hopeless
ETA: the fact that a fan of a different school pointed out how stupid your argument is should tell you something

I hope your joking, the Bills will always be remembered as the team that couldn't quite get it up. There's a reason poor children in Africa always seem to get photographed wearing Bills Super bowl t-shirts.

Not in SEC wins or NCAA appearances. Anyway, I've already said too much. We're definitely #2. Who gives a shite the distance. Winning 3 in a row would probably help that cause, but it'll take years for ANY team to catch up to what LSU has done in college baseball.
