With Bama falling to #7 in the recruiting rankings, one has to think that the writing is on the wall that Saban is close to retiring.

Yeah, Alabama did not have the #1 recruiting class in 2010, and looked what happened.....

Bama just had an off year in recruiting and I believe it was mostly circumstances and depth that hampered them. Every team in the country can negative recruit them because of that and they still finished with some beast. That kid they got on the Dline is unbelievable.

Bama also will compete for best class in 2019. They are in on a lot of huge names.

You telling me with all that talent y'all returning you won't be able to eliminate them in 2018? I don't expect the loser of that game to make it to the playoffs. Unless the Barn repeat their 2 loss regular season.

If you needed any further proof that Saban has completely fricked the collective psyche of the SEC, note that "You're only going to win one more national championship," is now considered some kind of dig.

This is like the 10th time since Saban was hired that "the beginning of the end" was upon us. One of these days you dumb fricks will get it right

Alabama will progressively have a worse and worse class

I'll take that bet, champ. Bama's class is top 3 next year. Florida's isn't top 8 (where Bama's was this year).

Bama's 2019 commits average an unreal 96.31 - good enough for the top average in the country by almost a full point. For frame of reference, Florida's average 87.65.

again, I thought that happened at least 9 other times? I wonder if this class could have something to do with losing like half our coaching staff to other jobs a few weeks before signing day, plus just a comparatively bad group of Alabama high school seniors? Only flip that really hurt was brown, because we need dts for depth, and barmore might have qualifying issues. Our other position of need we absolutely knocked out of the park, surtain, jobe, savion Smith, Eddie Smith, jalen armour-davis. Insane secondary class. We are going to win the championship again next season with tua playing behind the best oline in the country, deal with it

Bama's 2019 class will be #1 or #2. Brace yourself for the 2nd half of the Dynasty.

Please stop with these threads. Bama is "here" until they're not. They still had a top-10 class.

Saban's career will not be complete until, after the playoff expands to 8 teams, he wins the national championship after sliding into the 8th slot with a 9-3 record, further pissing off opposing fans.

Yea - LOL you guys probably won't be winning that 3rd straight national title in 2019. MELT BITCH!

Damn, I was really counting on a 3-peat too.

We should just start posting threads of the glory days of ancient history...all the way back to 2015

I think you are probably right. We are 9 years in the current dynasty which started in 2009 and my guess is Saban probably only has about 5 years and 3 NCs left. If the half way point is the beginning of the end then around 2016 was probably the technical beginning of the end.
