Any team that only beat us by 7, at home, is not the #1 team in the country. Period.
So no, the top 3 in the B1G are not better than the top 3 in the SEC. Especially if you consider osu your best team.
Then again Sark usually shits the bed when we play a team full of elite talent so it could have just be Sark's typical bang up job against elite teams.
Either way I'd put Bama, Georgia, and Ags up against any 3 in the B1G right now.

I'm pretty sure we got the exact same national championship trophy as those two teams. Or do you think when the confetti was falling the coaches and players were sitting around bummed out because sec fans will still like their national championship teams better?

Yuppers.
This is the answer.
This is the answer.

Perfect example. Have fun cheering for Bama and A&M this December/January while your team is playing in the music city bowl.
Perfect example? So you do admit your conference is cupcake. Thanks for confirming.

Maryland 1-3
Penn State 0-4
Wisconsin 0-5
Purdue 0-5

One game at a time, Aggy. You’ll get your shot in the playoffs perhaps

Please tell this to your fellow longhorn fans who were clamoring for respect because you lost by one score to the “number one team in country” in week one. This backtracking is beautiful

Wow. It’s almost like those teams lost to other conference teams. Crazy how that works

The biggest advantage the B10 has over the SEC is between the headsets. Much better coaches in the B10 than SEC overall.

coaches look a lot better playing against farm boys from Iowa then they do baws from the swamp

Well, to be quite honest, the SEC brand has indeed dropped in value and esteem since allowing UT-Austin to join, so maybe there's something to this perception that the B1G is on the rise.

If you think that OSU team is on the same level as 2019 LSU or 2020 Alabama it is only because you live in Columbus, Ohio

good, I’d love nothing more than to kill the conference you love. But I don’t think we deserve the credit. NIL and Saban leaving is why the SEC’s prestige has dropped.

What does the enhanced national championship trophy LSU and Bama got look like?

No. We said the SEC was best because we won 7 titles in a row and those titles were won by 4 different teams. (Florida, LSU, Auburn, Alabama) Since 2006, 18 NCAA football National Champions have been crowned. The SEC has won 13 of those and they were won by 5 different teams. (Florida, Auburn, Alabama, LSU and Georgia)

Two does not equal 7. When they win 7 in a row by 4 different teams we will admit the B1G is as good as the SEC once was.
OR, if the B1G wins 13 out of the next 18 titles we can talk.
Now, if you can make an argument against what I just posted and not just drop a down vote and run we will have a conversation either later today or tomorrow.

Until someone knocks them off you can't argue the #1 ranking as they are the defending champs. With that being said you can't look at that schedule and actually tell me you can make an honest assessment that they are really the #1 team.
They aren't "defending" last year's title. If they don't win it this season no one is going to remove last year's title from them. So, they're not "defending" anything. It's a season and a new NC trophy.

I mean I think we agree? If the argument was that the SEC was better back then because they were winning titles, then B1G is better now because they’re winning titles.

Penn State has the opportunity to do the funniest thing ever.

I'm not the fan gatekeeper. I have no control over what others said. I've been saying since the season started that this would not be a great team because I don't think Sark is a very good head coach.
Talk to them if you are butthurt over something they said. I sure didn't.

In fairness, Penn State lost to UCLA. Are you arguing UCLA is a strong team?
And, surely, you are not arguing that Maryland, Wisconsin and Purdue are tough teams?
I mean the B1G has some very good teams in there...but their bottom is worse than the SEC bottom teams by a pretty good margin.
On the other hand, right now, it is looking as if Ohio State, Oregon and Indiana could hang with the best of the SEC easily, and possibly beat our best. It remains to be seen, but they look really, really good right now.
