From what I can gather, Auburn fans are satisfied with how often they compete for a national championship. They have won or come close to winning 3 times in the last 14 years. I think the problem Auburn fans have with their program lately is that when they don't have a national championship caliber football team, they go 6-6 or 7-5 rather than 9-3.

Great analysis.

Hey Mr.

I beg to differ.

Just look at the high powered offense. If you get a decent gain, you run to the new line of scrimmage as fast as you can, snap the ball and run it up the middle. Every time.

It's genius. What else do you want?

Agree. An 'offensive genius' learns to adjust. Defenses have adjusted to Gus. Gus hasn't adjusted to what other defenses bring. Reminds me of Paul Johnson.

It is time for Gus to go. Lose this weekend and it will be done. Win and he is probable safe. Beat UGA and he will be safe.

Average Class is 7th in the composite rankings over the last 5 years. What he is doing with that "talent" is downright criminal.

Our OL talent is FCS level. Our RB Corp is a complete joke.

Absolutely.

The Barn will finish 8-4 then treat the bowl game like spring drills and win that game as well. 9-4 ain't bad and for Auburn that is better than most years.

Gus has to have the right QB. A good passer that can't run well, and you're 8-4. A good passer and runner, and you're in the CFP as one of the final 4. For some reason, he hasn't gotten that since Nick Marshall. You'd think that's all he would be after..dual threats.

He was fine last year with Stidham, Kerryon and a serviceable line. The problem this year starts at the OL and is magnified by mediocre RB play.

Is there really that much of a "problem"?

You guys are a little below your average victory total
since 2000 and expectations were higher this year but you guys should be happy/satisfied with 8-5/9-4 every
year with an occasional run at the SECW title.

Then we'd be settling for being Georgia

It’s been said by others in different ways but....Auburn will be what they’ve always been: a historically 8-5 program with the occasional miracle season and generational player - Bo, Cam - to keep the delusion of equivalence with football blueboods alive.

This is documented and the sooner you Auburn fans realize it the better.

Not really. We had a coach that averaged 10 wins a year and fired him. You took a coach that averages 5 losses a year and gave him a huge extension. There's a big difference.

That's not a troll...that's what happened.

Why? Why would they accept that? they want to win just like everybody else, and from time to time they do very well. I like Alabama fans as a whole, but some of you guys really have no idea how arrogant you sound.

When Bear retired and Alabama had some very weak seasons, did Alabama settle and realize they had a once in generational type coach? No. You went out and found another one. Auburn is trying to do the same thing. Everybody is. Alabama has been very fortunate, but for some of you guys to say everyone should learn to just settle is arrogant.

We were playing for a national championship 5 years ago, won the West last year, and struggling to make the Birmingham Bowl this year.

Our $49 million man sure has his work cut out for him the rest of the year.

The real problem is saban has set the bar so high that every other school is scrambling to try and match that. It's nearly impossible to replicate what he's doing, and certainly impossible to do it at the same time as he's doing it.

Common misconception that Auburn doesn't have the resources and base to compete talent wise with UGA, LSU, and the rest of the big six.

On average, We should be going 500 against the big six with the exception of Bama (2-3 is acceptable given their run), and 500 in bowl games.
