That being said, if you collie frickers are dumb enough to employ Phil Bennett then that five TD lead you blew earlier this season will become standard-operating-procedure.

I thought the ASU administration wanted Herm Edwards to keep both coordinators. Wouldn’t that mean Bennett stays in Tempe?

I don't know how there could be. As far as I know Bennett and Jimbo never crossed paths. But whatever, him as DC at A&M is a really bad idea and I can't believe that will happen.
I still have a soft spot for him and hope he does well, though. He's a year older than me and played at A&M while I was there. His future wife was a friend from Alvarado. She was killed by lightning while jogging when he was at KSU and left him with 2 kids. That's rough, no matter what we think about the guy.

Bennett was a great player for A&M. He returned as a DC under RC Slocum and Slocum "did not renew" his contract.
He was at Baylol when we moved to the SEC. He (as a coach for Baylol) criticized us and the school president for wanting to leave the BDF while he still lived in College Station and his wife worked for a local bank.
He burned the bridge and will not come back.
