Thats correct in theory and common sense. But the committee still looks at records.

But what if your schedule shows you played all sub .500 teams...does record still help you?

Miami is getting too much revisionist history due to their playoff run.2 losses and no ACC championship was a joke with that schedule. We were bad last season. Duke should have been the only ACC team in there besides the record as they won the conference. It's good the committee won't let that happen again this season with the rules change

Its why the league is going to expand by atleast two more and why I dont think they will be big football brands.
UNC and UVA is an acceptable schedule break and if they are ever decent they are still big state school names

Not at all. I’m just saying the committee needs to stop pandering to teams that load up on nobodies with a SOS in the 50s and comparing them to teams within a win with a top 10 SOS. This isn’t badketball

You'd rather stick in 1 loss Texas Tech who played nobody over a 9-3 SEC team? That's how you end up with score of 23-0 in a bowl game.

.500 means 1/2 won & 1/2 lost
In a 12 game season, that's:
0-12 = 0
1-11 = .08333
2-10 = .16666
3-9 = .25
4-8 = .33333
5-7 = .41666
6-6 = .5

Really depends, in a 10 team conference no. In a 16 where there’s so many variables and tie breaker rules absolutely.

So you would prefer a 10-2 team ACC team that beat pretty much no one over a 9-3 SEC team that might have three close losses to, say Alabama, Texas and Texas A&M. Not every 9-3 team is the same.

You have to beat who you play. What’s so hard to understand about this? Schedule strength literally doesn’t matter anymore.
