TCU had numerous games that came down to the wire. Lost it's conference championship game to a K-State team that was destroyed by Alabama.

Georgia had to rally to squeak by a terrible Misery team. Struggled against Kent State. Gave up over 500 yards passing to LSU in the SEC Championship and were clearly outplayed in the semifinal against Ohio State.

Don't have a dog in this fight. Just facts.

How does it feel knowing that TCU is the first Texas team to not only reach the playoffs but the national title game in the playoff era?

They'll still be a national champion, which is all that matters in the end.

Actually, what you posted is an opinion.

A "fact" goes like this. This is the second year in a row that UGA will play for the national title, and Texas fans will be watching from their mustard stained couches again.

We're the Lone Star state and at present TCU is our lone star.

TCU limped into the game after 11 straight weeks of conference play. Kansas State can play their game with anyone if you let them, they were trying to lure Saban into the murky waters.

What is weak is your take.

So Georgia had a close game and gave up some yards?

I'd bet the ranch that Alabama would handily beat either of these teams.

Both TCU and Georgia benefited from playing in weak conferences or divisions.

The 2 best teams from the East were 3-0
vs the 2 best teams from the West and there's zero evidence that the SEC was "weak" compared to any other conference.

TCU is the only star from the state since what, 2005?

As opposed to what other conferences/divisions that were tougher?

I owned a ranch like that once...couldn't get rid of it either.

TCU ALWAYS plays in a weak conference. That is nothing new, the big12 is just not very good outside of the bigw2. UGA, however, beat 2 teams which beat Alabama and beat a third team who would have beat Alabama

Not really. Can you name a title winner that did not struggle due to a lack of focus? You MIGHT be able to find one or two....but most struggled at one point in the season or other.

Besides....it will still be a National Championship.

People won't talk about them as best champs ever, but a natty is a fricking natty.

2007 LSU was a bad national champ, but we were the damn national champs and I bought the shirt.
