I have no idea what the frick the poster is trying to say here but the obsession comes through still.
ALABAMA is the gold standard of college football. People hate what they fear. This fear can't be that hard for you to figure out. It's been going on for a decade and a half around here.

With TN - image is everything. Guarantee a million conversations about how UT is beating UA and AU in recruiting to make themselves feel better

I’d look back over a the last decade for in-state signees before drawing a conclusion from this.
It is still currently the #4 class with only 19 commitments. The third highest average player rating. Still room to add and challenge for the top spot.

Saban didn't spend all that money on a house for nothing. The man is in his 70s. Terri probably wants them to enjoy a few relaxing years before they get too old.
At this point Saban can get a network contract making millions and only work a few Saturdays a year.

Alabama high school football looks loaded this year.

Aren’t the top two guys in Georgia going out of state?
The number one prospect in Louisiana is about to sign with OU

Out of curiosity I looked at the in-state signees for Alabama in the playoff era. Basically the time period where Alabama took more of a national recruiting approach.
2023 - 4 of the top 10
2022 - 5 of the top 10
2021 - 3 of the top 10
2020 - 6 of the top 10
2019 - 3 of the top 10
2018 - 1 of the top 10
2017 - 5 of the top 10
2016 - 4 of the top 10
2015 - 4 of the top 10
Alabama usually signs 8-10 prospects in-state. They currently have 8 committed for 2024. It is pretty on par from past classes. Clearly Thompson and Riddick were big misses but I don’t believe this is the sign you’re looking for. This class is far from done with several in-state guys that could be be flipped. But the 2024 class is hardly a bust. It’s a very good class.

Not as deep as it was last year. But its strength is always in depth not necessarily in Top 100 type players.

Recruiting is a national game, no longer local. UGA going to sign at least 10 of the nations top 100 players, maybe as many as 13.

The first real sign was when he bought a beach home in Jupiter, Florida a couple of days after Freeze stole a 5 star from him.

What about the beach house he owned before this one? Why wasn’t that a sign?

Who cares. If he retires or hangs it up it is well deserved. He has been in it for a while

I saw the same thing a few weeks ago and had similar thoughts but I stand by NIL killing Saban in the next 1-3 years.
He will be Joe Pa roaming the sidelines like the queen of England as a figure head only

Mind over matter. Focus your thoughts & attention on your own coach and LSU, stop letting Nick Saban & Alabama occupy your brain.

Why hasn’t it hurt recruiting to some great degree so far? Didn’t seem to matter when plucking Downs and Haynes out of Georgia last year. Or flipping Woodyard just a couple weeks ago.
