They never call grappling or early contact on hail mary passes.

Wouldn’t that put the ball on the 2?

No. Not in college. It could have gone either way, there was a push off too. Good no call.

As far as a Hail Mary goes, there weren't 10 people standing in the end zone waiting on a ball to come straight down. It was a 35 yard pass. With two receivers running in mid stride near the ball and three defenders chasing them.
All I'm saying is that was pretty borderline for a Hail Mary. And that defender was doing a little bit more than hand fighting. He was holding on

Yea. Offensive PI.
It would've been an interception if receiver hadn't grabbed defenders jersey.

So was the receiver. The only person with any chance of making that catch in bounds was the defender, and the received pulled him down by a handful of jersey.

That was back and forth hand fighting on a poorly thrown pass.

It would have to be broad daylight assault and battery before PI would ever be called in that situation with zeros on the clock.

Was that too complicated for you? Do you need me to dumb it down? A receiver running in stride, not waiting for the ball just as the ball lands is just a long pass. You don't throw Hail Marys from the 35 yard line.
But it was the last play of the game so I guess that's confusing for you.
